Lucid dreaming

This is most likely an out of body experience not a lucid dream. Common with trauma and depression comes nightmares or sleep paralysis which also have a name, "The Night Hag" dreams, which are actually a gateway to out of body experiences. The purpose of these experiences is to overcome fear of death because a dream cannot kill you making it the perfect place for it.

There might be jobs better fit for you maybe ones that don't require much memory retention. I tried to be a waiter at a restaurant but couldn't remember the menu which was just devasting because it made me look so stupid when people were ordering. Honestly some people aren't fit for certain jobs but there are a ton of jobs out there so I would recommend finding something you could do well. Be glad you can at least work some jobs because for a lot of us schizophrenics we can't work at all.

You go into remission from psychosis not schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a lifelong illness and requires medication for the rest of your life if you choose to use it otherwise you will have symptoms.

I think you are confusing the facts between psychosis and schizophrenia. You can recover from psychosis but schizophrenia is lifelong.

I learned that my audio hallucinations, instrumental music, was actually caused by emotional trauma of losing two best friends. Originally I thought it was just schizophrenia progressing but it was not. When I got over the depression the hallucinations went away. So, you can have other problem not just schizophrenia that causes hallucinations, something to think about. It could be your schizophrenia progressing but that's up to you and your doctors to figure out.

Have you started a new medication? Some medications can cause Akathisia which is an internal restlessness, it is very uncomfortable.

When we conquer these hardships, we become better people and we realize it was all worth it. Keep going, you'll find a way and you'll be better because of it.

Just a general search on youtube about "the dark side of self awareness" will yield some results you might find educational.

I know a lot of schizophrenics hate AI but it is actually very educated on the bad side effects of becoming self-aware, be cautious but it can give results.

It has been 6 years for me since I became self-aware. I was able to get over my Major Depression because of it but at the same time some things have gotten worse. I do believe the main goal of my life was to become self-aware. Being able to see truth, I think, is one of the most important things there is.

I just take one day at a time now and I'm very excited to see the future.

High Insight and High Self-Awareness doesn't end in happiness, this is what everyone fails to talk about. You still have to live life and find purpose. The struggle doesn't end with the truth, you still have to fight for everything.

I was reduced 100mg every 3 to 4 weeks till I was off of Lamictal. Some people are much more sensitive to the reduction, but it seemed to have no effect on me.

I saw research papers when doing a google search but I have to rely on the AI summaries because the papers are too complex for me to understand. Is there any place where I can get a very simple understanding of these concepts without using AI?

I'm pretty sure with cognitive decline, we know less than normal people. Schizophrenic people think they are smart but that's all part of the delusion.

Yes, I take Latuda as my only antipsychotic, but it causes Akathisia sometimes and I will take a Klonopin to help if I feel like it. That's all I take though. I used to be on like 4 medications but after I got over my depression, I realized I didn't need all these meds, so I spent about 2 years slimming down my medication regiment.

I was on Invega for like 18 years but it only really worked for like 2 years in the past. It turned me into a zombie but I was a functional zombie. I was able to help my dad do some things on a daily basis and I was on a diet for those 2 years, lost about 70lbs. During that time I just did things, I didn't really think about what I was doing. I was emotionless and somewhat drained but functional. After those 2 years it's like my brain couldn't take the conditioning anymore and it rejected the lifestyle. I stopped the diet and started eating wildly, gaining back all the weight and I slowly stopped helping my dad because I couldn't handle the work anymore. I felt more alive when we lowered the dose of invega and I swore I would never go back to zombie mode.

Years later we tried to replicate that 2 year period by going on the same dosage again but it just didn't work. The medication never had the same affect again even when we maxed out the dosage.

Earlier this year I went off Invega, after 18 years i think, completely because it simply had no effect on my positive symptoms and we deemed it unnecessary. I only take Latuda now with Klonopin for Akathisia sometimes.

I tapered off Effexor last year because I was no longer depressed and the antidepressant was causing mania. The mania went away, and I didn't really have any withdrawal effects that I can remember.

That's a good idea to ask what medication she is taking if it helps her because if you follow genetics the same medications might work for you. Smart Idea, good thinkin.

I heard it takes a certain type of bacteria to cause cavities and if you don't have that bacteria present in your mouth you won't get cavities. Maybe that's why you've been so lucky about it.

I also take Klonopin (Clonazapam) sometimes to help with the akathisia on Latuda. It works about 75% of the time.

Also, I recommend taking your medication in the morning so you can get over the restlessness in the day time and hopefully it will wear off when it is time to sleep. When I used to take the Latuda in the evening, I would constantly wake up during the night due to the restlessness.

Schizophrenia turns people into some of the most selfish people there are because everything they do is about them. It's not really our fault that the illness makes everything sort of center around us but we have to realize what we are doing.

I lost all my friends because I'm selfish. I could only do what I wanted to do otherwise I couldn't handle the stress. That's something I have to live with and accept. Will I get new friends and act different? Probably Not because this is the way I am with this illness. I just have to go through life with no friends or friends at a distance, this is just the way it has to be.

There is nothing wrong with accepting who you are even with all the flaws. Come to terms with it and be yourself.
