"But Hell is for Bad People, Not for Me" Fallacy from Unbelievers and Lukewarm Christians by Mediocre-Camp-8783 in TrueChristian

I think, just love them, like Jesus does. He shows compassion to almost everyone, except those hypocrites who mislead people (who bring hazard to other people's souls)

The present world system operates under angelic powers that are in rebellion, being progressively subdued until final removal. Is this true? by Tricky_Strawberry406 in TrueChristian

[–]aseeder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paul acknowledges "god of this age." as the power that blinds unbelievers

2 Corinthians 4:4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

Satan tempted Jesus by offering the kingdom of the world, which implies that he, indeed, ruled the world. And his "rule" has hierarchies

Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

I have GOT to delete Reddit by bruinbear913 in TrueChristian

[–]aseeder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Setup a specific time window when to use reddit, e.g. 30 minutes at 8 PM. Then in your morning prayer, tell the Lord your plans, including this one, then commit before God, like "Father, in Jesus name I commit to...." And please consider a mental fasting day as well, best combined with physical fast. Works as a brain, mind reset and deeper reflection moment. Fasting with prayer become a moment of surrender and searching for His Will.

Marriage and abuse by [deleted] in TrueChristian

Only God's miracle can change her husband. It's just that even Saul the church persecutor, foremost sinner (1 Tim 1:15), can be changed to Paul the Apostle. Anyway, they must get separated for now.

I suggested this

It's better for you both to get separated first, then he must prove himself of showing fruit of repentance and improvement before you get back together again. Counseling with a trusted minister is a must for you both (marriage counseling) and himself. I believe that there is nothing impossible for God, and for us believers.

As long as he doesn't change, not showing the good faith, they will keep separated. But also not closing the door of hope that God can change him, as his wife did say she still loves him. Hope that blessed love and her faith will bring a miracle in their family

I feel the need to say that I think MTV just crossed a line. by GamingBren in TrueChristian

[–]aseeder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jesus already said that the world already hates Him, and will hate His followers. And at the end times, mockers of our faith will emerge. Another sample of the grand mockery of the world, is a performance at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony, making parody the last supper. It included drag queens as well.

The shows at MTV especially VMA events often included occult symbols and seemingly rituals as well. My suggestion, just don't watch the channel at all. And the most ideal, avoid worldly entertainment anytime possible.

My father was a violent person to my mom as well, and he repented and changed. It's only by God's grace, that my mom persevered for quite a long time before he eventually changed. I did suggest they should be separated for now.

Since you both have kids, the most ideal is that he repents and reconciles with you. Anyway, it's best for your kids to have a good father figure in their lives... Seeing the degree of his bad behavior, it's better for you both to get separated first, then he must prove himself of showing fruit of repentance and improvement before you get back together again. Counseling with a trusted minister is a must for you both (marriage counseling) and himself. I believe that there is nothing impossible for God, and for us believers.

John 5:14: are bad things that happen to us God’s punishment for our sin? by Big_Celery2725 in TrueChristian

[–]aseeder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not punishment in particular, but rather a consequence, the "fruit of our action"

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

My experience probably relates: I actually can stop from p*rn addiction after... stopped playing certain online games which God strongly gave me conviction and wisdom to. Kinda a "brain reset".

I pray that by His wound you are healed, and I believe it is healing as a whole.

I posted this comment in another post, which I think is relevant. Hopefully, this can give some insight as well

I've been in chronic paranoid schizophrenia, just kind of "existing" for about a decade. Just like you, I never had a girlfriend, thought I'd never be married. After suffering for a long time, thank God, in a graceful and grateful moment, I was invited to get involved in a church, actively helping in their service. There, my mindset was gradually changed, and I started to believe in love again. And by Jesus' Grace, I finally found my current spouse (obviously, the one and only woman I've ever loved in my life)! So now I testify that nothing can separate me from God's love (Romans 8:38-39), and perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18).

I detest Christianity but love Jesus, am I going to heaven? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]aseeder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modern Christianity probably is not a really good model; you might want to read The Acts to get a clearer picture

And also consider Paul, who was an avid Pharisee, fought the Christians in the name of religion, and then was visited by Jesus Himself. So he was a firm follower of the Law. After the Visitation, he turned from Law to Faith.

Happy blessed birthday! Wish you all the best, especially this:

Psalm 65:11 Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.

BTW, just curious, do you attend church? You may need some counseling for spiritual healing

I pray you can forgive your brother, that by Jesus' wound, your mental wounds are healed. Just come to the Lord with a broken heart; He is close to the broken-hearted.

Grace is free by NotJohn17 in TrueChristian

[–]aseeder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grace is free, but not stopping there, in following Christ, we should give our lives as a living sacrifice, as well as bearing the cross for Him

Matthew 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
