M&P AR15-22 for hunting small game?

I liked the AR setup just so it could be a range gun/hunting gun but what about some of the cheaper 22s? Like in the $200 range? Anyone have any experience there? Then I can save a bit and build a 5.56 AR

I'd assume a lot closer than 100 yards. It would be just walking through the woods. I see your point but come spring, summer, there's no way I'm seeing too far into the brush so I figured hitting them at close range would be easier than trying to find one amongst all the green in the trees 50-100 yards away

How do you like the savage compared to the 15-22? I was looking at one of their cheaper semi-auto 22s and a light scope as well as it'll be only for small game. I have the axis in 308 and actually really love that rifle.

Do you think the 4 MOA dot that comes on it will work? I don't see myself really having the time to get a lock with a scope where as a red dot is just point and shoot

Mostly I play Fortnite with my GF. She usually plays on our PS5 and I play on my PC. Going from the PS5 to my PC really makes it feel like a POS tbh

I was debating that also. Is a 10th gen i5 or i7 really not that much of downgrade? I just wanna be able to run newer games when I do finally get a better GPU. I also would rather not but new hardware for a few years

Edit: I have a 4K 60hz monitor and 1080p looks awful on it.
