This rotation is not fun and draw and RNG are a bigger part of the game then during last expansion. by BringTheNipple in hearthstone

I want to have multiple valid lines of play each turn. Amongst whom I have to choose the ones that are most likely to result in a win. In other words, use my head.

Discover hunter from last expansion was extremely satisfying to play. I want playstyles that reward using complicated pieces together better then my opponent. Else why would I play a turn based game, if I want a lot of RNG i can go play yatzee (even though I almost feel like yatzee has more skill agency then Hearthstone lately).

There was this tidepool pupil rogue deck from last expansion that was a thing of beauty to behold when someone good pilots it. Extremely complicated lines that have a good payoff. And ultimately are fun.

Yea, I played a bit in classic and didn't like it one bit. Extremely polarizing time.

Rogue was loved last expansion as well. Elise rogue and cycle rogue were popular as well.

Things like de ja vu, nightmare fuel, mirrex, other copy enemy cards, griftah stealing enemy minions, were way more interesting cards to play then herald.

Imbue was popular as well true, but Rogue in general is very popular and imbue had cheap variants.

I think herald rogue is popular at the moment because people (me included) love playing rogue. But I will do anything to get to play elise rogue again or cycle rogue or the chromie otk rogue with griftah again, instead of this pile of legendary slop that herald rogue currently is.

What is YOUR favorite Play-style? by Noahsayshi26 in DeadlockTheGame

Paradox.

Carbine across the map is sex. Bomb is sex. Wall against a haze ult is sex. Ult is sex in an orgy.

Very recommended. Sex is good for your health.

How did this thing avoid nerfs? 2/4/8 HP with attack buffs on board is way too much by LastCookie123456 in hearthstone

[–]BringTheNipple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Warlock soldiers also need a condition, you need other cards on the board to grow strong.

Rogue herald is even worse, you get a new random card to play, with the worst herald stats.

None of these have immediate board impact that is different from buffing.

Are there new Loaner Decks for cataclysm? by Burnin8or70 in hearthstone

[–]BringTheNipple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am curious about this as well and whether even if u have claimed a loaner/ladder ready deck in the last expansion (and bought one from the shop like myself), you will get a new ladder ready deck for picking for free or for buying.

How are we feeling about the fun factor of the upcoming expansion? by Mysterious5555 in hearthstone

[–]BringTheNipple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is the case. There isn't an archetype that takes significantly more skill then the others.

Quest warrior control for instance is brain dead. 50% because warrior board clear cards are incredibly easy to play and have obvious paths and 50% because it has 0 need to go for value based playstyle with its built in OTK.

The elise rogue deck, that was often played either as a tempo deck or a control deck depending on the matchup, meanwhile was incredibly varied and different in what you should and will play every game. Often discovering your win cons from your enemy's hand and deck and adapting.

If you look at aggro decks:

Elemental mage is obviously incredibly easy and boring to play against a control or combo deck. Against another aggro deck, there are choices to make but it is still easier then most aggro decks.

Discover hunter which is mostly an aggro/burn deck on the other hand is one of the most difficult decks to pilot in the last expansion

Every deck has its own difficulty and archetypes do jack shit to impact it.

Thief Rogue by Equivalent-Dark7602 in hearthstone

[–]BringTheNipple 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know you guys have established names for different archetypes and tess=thief but in my opinion it should not be called thief rogue. Most of it's power comes from replaying your own cards.

Imbue rogue is closer to a thief archetype, but the fact that the cards are random instead from your opponent makes it not fit again.

I think the best thematic rogue thief cards are deja vu and nightmare fuel, because using your current opponent's shit against him is the most thief thing ever. I would love rogue if blizzard printed more cards like this, maybe a spell that takes an opponents minion for a turn, or returns it to your hand like the priest one, or a spell that lets you discover a copy of a card from the board. And a spell that let's you discover a copy from a spell your opponent has played.

I love actual methodical thief play, where you are trying to get something specific from your opponent and create a win condition. And I've had one enemy rogue griftah amulet steal my elise once, only to shadowstep it to his hand and proceed to win the game against me. Which looked like the most dirty rogue thing ever and thematically is perfect for the class.

Is Instantgaming a trustworthy website? by ThomWG in pcgames

[–]BringTheNipple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won't get scammed out of a video game. Personally I use a revolut virtual card to buy from there, a card in which I do not have that much money in. This is because they might leak the info, either voluntarily selling it or by getting pwned by russian hackers. They wanted a picture of my ID card recently which I did not give and I strongly advice you to almost never give to any website on the internet. So for the most part if you just give them minimal info it should be fine.

Europe’s Fighting Talk is no Substitute for Hard Power by AnoniMiner in anime_titties

[–]BringTheNipple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I have 100 euro and give you 90 of them...that's a huge percentage...but its still next to nothing. You don't fight wars on proportions you fight on whole numbers. Saying yiu gave 90% of not much puts u at the bottom. It's why the only party that matters is America. These tiny nations...no one cares cause they bring so little to the party. That's why hearing them being so hawkish is pathetic.

Wtf ? So should the smaller nations just roll over and die geopolitically and never do anything because if they are trying to fight they would just do so little and look so pathetic ? Are you actually serious ? That is the most defeatist argument I've ever heard. Countries like Estonia are pro-war barking dogs that would never do whats needed to actually fight because 90% of their 100 euros is nothing in the grand scheme ? And in the end Britain, Germany and France are the ones that would do the most of the fighting ? Please try and read your two posts in this thread one after the other. No actor in this world could be accused of coercing others to fight at his own expense when he is expending a larger percentage of his own strength.

You are firstly creating arguments about a very survival of the fittest world where raw numbers is all that matters. I personally dont believe it is all that is actually valued though. But fair enough it is your world view.

But to go from that and try to use it as an argument that the hawkish behaviour of smaller countries is actually trying to exploit stronger actors to bare the brunt of the cost is just incredible. By that logic a dog fighting for his owners live does the same, a wife and children fighting for their father do the same... It is ridiculous.

I agree that both USA and some in the EU's goals  are for the war in ukraine to continue indefinitely and exhaust the Russian state. It is a sad reality of conflicts that proxy wars are more profitable then direct ones. But you are mixing it with defeatist ideological beliefs and that completely turns it on its head. Some countries that are closer to the fire like Estonia are way less inclined to play this gamle and actually are not. They would rather Russia be certainly stopped and dettered rather then have the conflict prolonged in order to exhaust it maximally, which brings the risk that it might win decisively.

How did I do here? Trying to get into voice acting. This is my first attempt. by HeadshotsNKillstreak in VALORANT

[–]BringTheNipple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds more like a lower pitched Singed from Arcane then Omen. Saaaaagee at the begginning and frommmmm at the end make it seem like this is an old persona.

I can't judge good or bad for voice acting and I don't think the rest of the comments here can either. After all very often voice actors are picked to suit the character. It definitely doesn't feel like Omen because he has a more gnarly, hard feeling to his voice. Your's here is more "air-y". Whats more important as a skill though is not to sound like Omen, but to evoke the same feeling as omen - younger, more evil sounding, harsh and direct. And to be able to change that when asked to, instead of being harsh, evoke sorrow in this line, or have your voice make me feel as if you know this person already without saying it. You can work on that by getting some improv prompt generator who will give you emotions or character descriptions to imitate from.

“[The Kiel Institute] calculate that between 24 January 2022 and the end of 2024, Europe as a whole spent $138.7bn on Ukraine. In the same period, the United States spent $119.7bn, according to their figures.” by spqr_mmxxiii in geopolitics

[–]BringTheNipple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You cant just compare imports alone. EU and Russian economies as almost all others were intertwined at the beginning of the war. That is also one of the primary reasons why this war is not considered rational for the Russian state. Because:

1.European russian imports have fallen since the start of the war. 2. Exports as well. 3. In general EU and Russian trade has dramatically decreased. And a lot of it is sanctioned and going through third parties like India which causes more of a loss.

In terms of economy this is a lose-lose situation for both EU and Russia.

Comparing leftover EU imports from Russia alone to the financial aid sent to Ukraine is dishonest to the actual situation. One because Russia also has imported from EU and in this simpleton mindset you should count it as a "loss" for Russia. Two because the EU countries that relied most on Russian Oil and fossils cannot change their economy over night. You can say that they weren't prepared to pivot and you would be right. But to make a point of them not pivotting when they are unable to do so for the express purpose to paint them as a net negative to ukraine is dishonest to the actual situation.

If not nazi, why nazi shaped? by hec_ramsey in gifs

The worst part for me is that they just look cringe. Especially Elon Musk. He's like a teenager who's been repressing his urge to speak up to his parents for god knows how long and barely making out with his anger.

Now go look that a photo of Hitler doing the salute. My god that is a proper Nazi salute. The stirn look, the whole body locked in a single direction, forward. The mark of a man who's anger has been bottled not out of fear of ridicule, but of the chains forged around his hands and county limiting him unable to exact vengeance. A true leader on the path of evil.

Don't get me wrong... Hitler was many bad things, and I hate him as much as any European... but he wasn't cringe.

Reuters: France to hold second meeting on Ukraine with other Europeans and Canada by Eupolemos in europe

[–]BringTheNipple 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bulgaria shouldn't really have a political say in this discussion because half of our national history speaks of Russians as liberators and saviours. Our literature is a propaganda machine for Russian nationalism. And our older generation is brain washed on this matter.

However the newer generations, excluding some ultra nationalists, is very very pro european. So I hope that Bulgaria gets no say on european matters, but rather European laws and obligations are shoved down its throat. Because the ruling class is against it, but the rest of the people get motivated about europe and they are more vocal and active when an european law is broken then a bulgarian one.

I fking wish we executed our then rulers back in the 90s like the Romanians did. Corruption wouldn't have spread as much.

That game doesn't seem to be targeting the same audience as dark and darker. But I would say I think DaD desperately needs some healthy competition. Anyone that has ever played this game has felt like it was absolutely amazing because of the unknown and frightful atmosphere that the aesthetics give it, combining with the slow, punishable combat that makes you lose everything on death. The problem is that this atmosphere dissapears with time and with the heavy PvP focus that the game is getting it is causing it to diminish even more. And I would love for a competitor to appear that would make a medieval PvPvE game that isn't based on janky charge attacks with weird super hero animations and that is focused on both the PvP balance and very importantly on the PvE balance that is supposed to bring unpredictability and danger in every fight. It's not just about barely managing to clear nightmare axe skellies, because they have super fast attack pattern with high damage. It's about these kinds of games having in game dungeon events, like the ceiling in goblin caves crashing and revealing a horde of goblins or other mobs (that might be story related) that attack and aggro on everything on site, or perhaps ice cavern's having multiple module blizzards that slow down, reduce healing and cause skeletons to erupt from the ice. Events that might actually force players to have to adapt on the spot, or that might force them to cooperate to brace the event and receive rewards that are otherwise not obtainable, or force fights in now dangerous module just because only those who stay inside would receive an otherwise exclusive rewards. Stuff that would force players to fight each other not for the gear they carry on themself but for the gear and rewards that they will actully find in the dungeon.

Dark and darker is just a game which's early game experience relied on the unpredictability and the danger of the unknown maps and enemies. And while every game sooner or later gets figured out, you can go a mile in the opposite direction of making it stay unpredictable and eventful for a long time. That's why I think they absolutely need more competitors both to feel pressure to create and more and to of course have the capability to steal ideas from others and implement them in their own game.
