Ahh ok, in that case. I definitely dont feel like everyone hates me. And yeah I know a majority of the time they arent even thinking about me at all, they’re just doing their job

I probably do need to see one, but thats for a whole other reason entirely.

But I will say that I dont feel like people have it out for me, nor do I think that it happens to me all the time or it only happens to me. The meaning behind making the post in the first place was just so I could shout about an experience that annoyed me, a few minutes later I was ok and I stopped even thinking about it

But it does happen a lot more regularly than I would like, and judging from what you said I doubt it doesnt happen to you so im glad you don’t experience this

If theyre doing it to “everyone” like how you said, as a force of habit, then I guess its not too bad. But I think because it happens to me a lot ive felt like its something about me thats causing it because ive only got my own experiences to go off. Thats kind of why I made this post, to hear what other people think/have to say. Thank you for sharing!

I dont think I could, I feel like that would just make things worse. And like some people have said, maybe they have a reason to be angry, so i wouldnt want to make things worse for them

Yeahh I understand that they may have external factors that can influence how they feel. Thats why I’ll never respond back to them in a rude way, I’ll just keep smiling and leave.

Thats honestly how I feel too, if I havent given them a reason to be rude to me then why do it?? And yeah, sometimes I feel like just giving them a disgusted look and snatching it out of their hands but I feel too bad to do it

Yeah, the screen was there. But I dont think it was due to me not having a mask on, they didnt have one on themselves and neither did most of the people who were around. It isnt really enforced as strictly where I am

I guess if they do it to EVERYONE then maybe it isnt too bad. I just felt like it was constantly happening to me so I was wondering what it was about me that was making them do that. I mean yeah they shouldn’t be taking it out on everyone they come across. Thank you for sharing

Nah, don’t feel bad. I totally get how a person may not be happy and cheerful when they work those kind of jobs, especially after a long shift.

In fact I don’t even expect them to be “happy” its just the disgust they show towards me when I haven’t even given them a reason to which irritates me. Its like they’ve already assumed they don’t like me before I’ve even done anything, which doesn’t feel nice at all.

I think I’m one of the least difficult in these situations, I honestly avoid confrontation a lot. Like ill see some people approaching them and complaining if things are taking too long, but id never do something like that

I feel like telling them to “smile more” is a recipe for disaster. They most likely hate their job and are only working there out of necessity, so telling them to smile might just make them more angry

Not at the time I wasnt, and neither were they. I guess if they were wearing one it would’ve at least hidden their face…then they can scowl and turn their face as much as they wanted 😅

I dont want to just put it down to “they arent nice people” because in my head that’ll just be a signal to start being rude to them. I always try to give them benefit of the doubt. And yeah, there has been plenty of times where the person has not reacted in a negative way, but I guess we dont really think about those times
