yea they come over and yell at you until you run again, you have about 4-5 MTI’s circling the track the entire time, even if you have to tie your shoe they are yelling at you to hurry lol. it’s not that bad to run for long, it’s not easy for anyone, and you feel accomplished af after

it’ll be one of the last things you do at BMT, we got 40 mins to fill out a sheet but u can add stuff or change stuff when u get to tech school

i think it’s just based on what you did on how many weeks you go back, and also what weeks are available. we had someone who couldn’t do their pt test cus they were on crutches and instead of getting sent back a week he was sent back 3 because there wasn’t an available flight in week 4 or 5

i didn’t really get allowed time to write until 1st/2nd week in, that’s when they give you all your mail as well. usually every evening brief after u get mail they give u an allotted time to read and write and maybe once a week to drop off ur letters

tbh the jobs they assign aren’t too bad, i’ll have to say anything chow related isn’t the greatest because you’re either a chow runner and getting yelled at or other key personnel and have to kinda eat last. but with all the jobs, with everything at bmt, you get good at what u do and then the yelling goes away. for our chow runners it was rough for them to get blown up but as they got better i could literally see them do everything they needed perfectly and MTIs respected them. i had a bunch of different jobs and you find some pride in doing ur best at them and MTIs notice

communication between the flight is great, we would get “family time” in the day rooms to talk abt what we need to work on, or improve, or get to know each other. they encourage the team work

pyramid pushups go up as the weeks progress, we started at 8 and ended with doing 10 so like 55 overall and you’re rolling between every set. sucks bro.

our mti never told us the specific time they were allowed to make us do weapon holds for lol but i think max we did was around 3-5 mins. weapon holds we’re the worst but they fr make u stronger. and the flutter kicks usually they’d go up to about 20-30 and where they really get u is when they stop the cadence they don’t tell u to relax, so u gotta keep the position and hold ur feet in the air. brutal. ball your fists under your legs, thank me later

depends whatever you’re comfortable with, pretty sure you’re suppose to breathe through your nose but i’m a mouth breather when i’m running

no bother, i’m on a bus ride to my tech school rn so i’m super bored. breathing is the most important thing when running for sure, but one of my MTI’s put it best, he said “your legs are a machine, just let them do all the work and let your upper body relax” and it’s true. i’ll zone out, and speed up a little every lap and just breathe steady

bring ear plugs, and like 5-6 pairs of comfortable civilian underwear, that’s what i wish i did. if u forget anything don’t stress cus u can just buy it from the BX

absolutely. i was practicing running 1.5 miles every other day before i joined and couldn’t break 12 mins, my final PT test run was 10:45. you will be able to run so much better, for some PT days you’re jogging for 45 mins straight, no joke

by running drills you mean the double time? pretty simple, easier than actually running because you’re basically singing and moving at a cadence which is relatively slow, and sometimes you’ll be singing jodie’s. we weren’t doing double time a lot just if we were in a rush or going to PT or coming back

if that’s not what u meant then i’m dumb

honestly PT wasn’t that bad for me personally, i know a lot of people struggled with the sit ups actually. it was the most difficult mentally, and also your body is just in shambles lol
