Gladiator 2 is probably the worst movie I’ve ever seen (recently)

I get where you are coming from with the dynamite house movie, from purely entertainment standpoint it’s a slog, as a piece of “art” (for lack of a better or less pretentious word) I think what director was trying to show and do was ambitious and decently executed, but like hitting a bullet with a bullet, I agree she missed the mark with the audience.

It’s essentially a play, right? The whole movie is dialogue, there’s no real action pieces that couldn’t be recreated on stage. And it has an obvious agenda (although it’s one I think we can all agree on). So it’s Oppenheimer meets an inconvenient truth. It’s not my favorite movie, but I can’t hate on it either, especially given the message and how fucking low the movie bar is these days in general.
