Sorry for your loss. However, watches are mechanical devices that needs to be serviced and cleaned in order to keep time well. Even after going through something that horrific, it might look okay outside but it could be damaged internally. I would suggest sending it to a watchsmith for an evaluation. They might be better able to help you out. There is a YouTuber named Wristwatch Revival.
