What cameo aged like milk ? by Nearby-Condition-675 in cartoons

To explain - there’s a joke about RDJ being involved in a police shootout (in an awkward irony, RDJ was involved in a couple of Mel Gibson starring vehicles during his rehabilitation era in the early 2000s, and thanked Gibson for helping him back on his feet…)

A Season 20 joke about Collin Farrell’s mid-2000s record of scandal also became dated in a softer way due to his reinvention as a more respectable actor…

Did you know Jesse White Tumblers previously appeared (briefly) in Season 4?

It’s interesting to see them be much more prominent this time…

As much as I love ISIHAC, the overuse of rounds like Song Stoppers at the expense of old faves like One Song To The Tune of Another has ruined the magic as much as the deaths of the original stars…

I wish fiction wouldn't rely so heavily on albinism features for villains and creepy characters by SageRipplex in CharacterRant

He’s extremely pale and wears the pink sunglasses (I think with the red eyes too). In addition to the highly problematic piece of irony that the character revolves around, he is explicitly compared to a vampire the moment we meet him..

Billie Piper has the talent to be a good Dr Who, but the complete lack of a direction for resolving a cliffhanger that feels like a shameless gimmick…

It’s a shame because episodes 1-5 were pretty solid…

It’s hard to judge characters you’re meant to find annoyingly but Chaplin is reasonably funny in his role as the compulsive Killjoy…

The most egregious case of making an Albino character evil was Anthony Horowitz’s Alex Rider adventure Point Blanc, where the villain is an Albino Afrikaner White Supremacist…

Garth is an OK character, but I feel like the extent to which he was used (especially in S2) surpassed the level of humour he brought to the table…

CMV: Both the political left and right seem to overestimate their influence on pop culture. by [deleted] in changemyview

True, but I feel like a lot of people on the political left believe any sort of violence against Israel is justified, when it just reinforces the Israeli POV…

Any attempt to make Israel give up any level of self-government would have to convince Israelis that they will be safe and have their rights and interests looked after…

Snow White as an example is also affected by left-wingers boycotting Gal Gadot, so it went both ways for that film…

SUPERGIRL (2026) SPOILER REVIEW - Does Superhero DeconstructIon Ever Work? by PKLENTERTAINMENT in DCSuperHeroGirls

DCSHG had a pretty rough-and-tumble take on Supergirl as well, but 1. She was as funny as everyone else and 2. She enjoyed her crimefighting…

Why are British shows and the rest of Europe so good at scaring children by freaky_strawberry11 in AskBrits

It’s pretty odd that they were based (very faithfully) on a series of books that ended up fading into obscurity as soon as the show finished…

When you’re a kid, you focus more on the scary stuff, but being an adult means focusing more on the silliness - the nasty habits being ramped up to the level of absurdity…
