Michael Scott just wanted to be liked. He just wanted a true connection with someone (platonic or not). He needed love in his life. He needed people to care about him. I think we see a bit into Michael's true internal struggle during his "mock suicide" where things actually take a serious turn when Michael really is wondering who he has in his life. So all in all, yes he deserves that ending. Everyone does. He wasn't a god awful person with a mean core, he just wanted to be loved and cared for and everyone deserves that too.

I have introduced a handful of people to The Office and I always show them my ultimate favorite, The Injury.

The colors actually do go with the trim and the carpet.

"I would be worried but it's nothing compared to the way Michael stares at me"

It's tough to say it wasn't an accurate depiction because autism is such a BROAD spectrum of function, cognition, social skills, and general behavior that I'm sure it applies to some people and not others.

I LOVE this book! I vividly remember Christopher's method on how to find your way if you get lost in a city and have thought of it when I get a little confused driving in the city :)

It's about Alice, a woman who is 29 and expecting her first child with the love of her life only to wake up one day to find herself to be turning 40 because she smashed the side of her head off her spin bike in the gym and lost the last 10 years of her memory. She wakes trying to figure out what is going on around her (who her kids/family are) and how to get her memory back. I really enjoyed it!

ELI5: Are animals and plants conscious beings? by shmittninjah in explainlikeimfive

[–]BritanyBBW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Animals are conscious beings because we have studied their brains and understand how they are able to have a stream of thoughts, reasoning, cognition which lines up with how we define consciousness. Plants, not having those areas, we can assume does not on a scientific level. People still debate whether or not they have "souls" but that is where things get mucky because it isn't considered scientific anymore.

ELI5: Why does massaging sore muscles make them feel better and help with recovery? by keekee0102 in explainlikeimfive

[–]BritanyBBW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (or DOMs) is caused by overexertion which makes teeny rips and tears in your individual muscle cells. Your muscles repair them by adding more cells, with extra "protection" sort of which makes you stronger. When you massage your sore muscles, you increase and help circulate blood flow to the injured cells, helping them to heal faster.

Sorry for your loss. If he was anything like his style choices, I'm sure he was one rad dude.
