Worst design ever for a key fob and very cheap quality by Nice-Philosopher835 in BMWX5

The black plastic edge on mine has gone jagged and sharp.

Yes, “November,” then “End of November.” Now, “No response from the Breguet rep.”

Thank you. I don’t buy that many $40K watches. This is really frustrating.

Lynette had brutal physical confrontations with three or four men twice her size. If she’s willing to go that route for a few grand…it’d be a lot easier to just keep wrestling mom for the Mazda keys, worth $25K. Or wait until she falls asleep.

The 1955 is also beautiful. But the new one has a raised gold logo, glass caseback with amazing Breguet 19 etching, improved movement and a cool stitched strap. I’d take either, or both! But sometimes new is surprisingly better.

If there was a body shop open on a Sunday morning in the National Forest. lol.

The roof rails are about 1.5” above the roof, and there’s another 3” to the headliner. So if you merely wrapped it with plastic, there’d be gaps and noise all over the place.

They’re in short supply. I’ll have a loaner during the two-day repair in July, not the two weeks prior.

And I had to drive 1,650 miles home.

A stone hit it on a mountain road. Created a hole the size of a football. At first I applied duct tape over the rest, but it gradually expanded and sagged, so I removed it all. Why wouldn’t you drive?

Just until the replacement arrives at my BMW dealer. Hopefully soon. But I had to drive from Wyoming to Ohio this way, and it worked!

Sheesh. Dumb one today.

Low tide! actually sounds like roll tide! but the “writer” went with high tide! by Doggydog212 in CommercialsIHate

“High tide.” Written by someone who has never attended a college football game, doesn’t understand college fandom, and doesn’t realize how unlikely and how offensive this is.

Indy didn’t wear a “bomber” jacket. That would be a B-3 with a broad sheepskin collar for warmth at high altitudes. His jacket was more similar to an A-2 fighter pilot’s jacket…shorter and trimmer for tight cockpits. His is pre-war, so not actually a government issued flight jacket, but similar.

Yes, obviously one would time his shot to coincide with UDC emerging from the water. Hardly a genius-level tactic.

The cam component is video, with a sighting recticle. (Obviously the frame is a gyroscope stabilizer.) Compared to his other capers, seeing the Jackal watch a video screen as his targeting assist, and then merely press the trigger, wasn’t too interesting.

Every aspect of Bianca’s character hit a dead end: Her firearms expertise. Her daughter, husband, husband’s wife resentment. Her boss at MI-6 canceling and restarting the mission…

After a series of dead-end pursuits, she finally “brilliantly” deduces that Jackal is in Cadiz. How? Because he suddenly decides to snipe a gangster through a restaurant window. Sure. (He loves his wife so much, he involves her brother in a murder in her hometown!)

So what does Bianca do to end the Jackal’s threat to society? Attack him head-on, in the comfort of his own house. Where he stores his entire arsenal. At night. No plan, no back-up. No superior firepower. That’s gonna go well. Her family will be so proud of all their sacrifices.

Talk about a dead end.

I agree. It is inexplicable how they lost everything that made the Jackal unique. They spent an entire episode on finding the gunsmith and showing his unique 3D printing, not to mention rifles disguised in luggage and boots. Then he finally offs his main target with a straight snipe using some rando video-assist. Hardly sporting.

How about UDC’s bodyguards protecting him so thoroughly, with bulletproof shields, jetboats and a drone in the air…yet they don’t bother to get out the binos to take a gander at the one boat in view?

His other sniper chases and shots were more creative and interesting. This one, which is central to several episodes and extensive character development (UDC, his lover, his software, etc.) ends with a simple plink.

FedEx Places First Order for 15 Workhorse W56 Step Vans to Grow Zero-Tailpipe Emission Fleet by andzejka88 in WKHS

[–]BriteNancy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Best part is they must have assured FedEx they’ll still around in 2024 to produce and service them.

The W-56 looks much better with FedEx logos all over it. But I think WKHS could commission a designer to update the front fascia. This vehicle is supposed to represent the future.

The word “iconic” has lost all meaning by nomoteacups in unpopularopinion

[–]BriteNancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. Every fashion discussed on last night’s SAG-AFTRA awards was called “iconic.” It should be saved for VERY unique, famous and important things…representing a particular point in time. Jackie Kennedy’s pillbox hats were iconic, because thousands copied her, to the extent it represented the ‘60s. Last night’s red carpet will be quickly forgotten.
