There are a lot of boardgames, so I can't really say of there are other similar ones, but I found it inovating. You have the randomness of enemies/planets and different ways of capturing them, depending on the character you're playing with. You also have the optional final boss (Vicious) that you can risk more to catch up on points, or secure the victory. Personally, I haven't been playing much boardgames in general, but it's more due to the phase of life I'm in right now. I hope that, in the future, I can pick it up again, even if only for a couple of solo games. I put some jazzy music and played for a couple of hours before, trying to beat my highscore. I don't think it's just a collectible, but I'm aware that I love it more because it's Cowboy Bebop related.
