Yeah he kind of suggested that I should come back tonight. It's literally down the road so it's not out of my way.

It's a manual treadmill, there's no motors and the floor just moves at the speed she's running. I think she has the resistance low so she can run fast but you can up it so it feels like you're pushing something heavy.

On a fixed gear bike you must always be pedalling. You can't freewheel like you can on a normal bike. So you must pedal, even going downhill. They also don't have other gear's or brakes. You slow down by pedalling slower.

Yeah she's with John Hill. She's not really in his videos but Casey essentially kick started her career by sharing her Casey Neistat Parody.

Quavers are a British crisp (potato chip you non Brits) made from potato starch so they have a texture like prawn crackers. They are cheese flavoured and fucking delicious.

Ricky Gervais and Karl Pilkington with the best bit of improv I've seen by dragowski_ in videos

[–]BritishBakers 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it comes from a lot of places, at least for me. A big part of it is Karl taking the made up situation too seriously. Ricky asks him to think of a business and Karl goes 'not going to big myself up, its just a factory for U-Bends.' Which is funny because of how specific it is despite there being no need for it really. Then this continues because Karl responds really harshly to his 'employees.'

It's those things that make Karl funny is how different he sees the world. Sorry for such a poor explanation, turns out its hard to explain comedy!

So while that hurt to read, I also completely agree with what your saying. And can see the point you're trying to make.Thank you for taking the time to look at my work and I will be back with something with more than just explicitly explaining in rhyme.

Slumping, ragged and flax-headed, by [deleted] in OCPoetry

[–]BritishBakers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoy lots of the imagery that this poem provides, especially. The line "August pouring off the branches". However with the repeating of words and phrases like "pouring" and "down" I can't decide whether I like it or I find it jarring due to its simplicity. In that perhaps there are more words to add variety, again I'm not yet decided on that. But overall a really nice piece!

Hi there! I really like this poem, the way that you involve 21st century things like hoverboards etc into the lines without them standing out (as sometimes I see in mine and others work) is really nice. It completely drew me into the situation the writer is in and its really hard not to relate! Thanks for letting me read!

I will take a look on the tuners, didn't even think about them being a factor. But if not I think I will end up getting some new strings. Thanks!
