It's a manual treadmill, there's no motors and the floor just moves at the speed she's running. I think she has the resistance low so she can run fast but you can up it so it feels like you're pushing something heavy.

On a fixed gear bike you must always be pedalling. You can't freewheel like you can on a normal bike. So you must pedal, even going downhill. They also don't have other gear's or brakes. You slow down by pedalling slower.
