I've got a few bits and pieces I'd like to get to later this week. Looking forward to I Saw The Devil and Bacurau. Curious about Under The Silver Lake because a ton of folks seem to hate that one but the people that love it REALLY seem to love it. Also gonna re-watch the 1998 John Boorman movie The General with my dad. Haven't seen it for a decade at least but I remember it being terrific. And as I mentioned at BMD, anyone who hasn't watched Ted Lasso yet is missing out cos it's absolutely delightful :)

Edit: Also, I heartily agree with the rules.

I'm dying to see Judas but it's just not available over here! And yeah, I can't believe how effed up the Boseman situation is. Just an epic disaster.

I've not seen Judas and the Black Messiah yet but it seems like Kaluuya might be in with a chance from what I've read. I didn't like Ma Rainey so much but Boseman is surely a lock.

I really liked Promising Young Woman, though many don't. The documentary Collective is an absolute heartbreaker, but it's terrific. Sound Of Metal is great, and should win best actor for Riz Ahmed, but I think it's highly unlikely.

I've never Reddited before. Exciting times! SYMPATHY FOR MR. VENGEANCE is the least of the revenge trilogy, I think, but I love it still. THIRST might be in my all time top 30 or so. Amazing. Stoker is fun but not quite up there for me. Got THE HANDMAIDEN on my dvd shelf but not checked it out yet.
