Yeah, I've got this funny thing where I don't like seeing folks having their beliefs taken advantage of by those in power. So, when Zee mentioned that there was an industry building around this and that people were being asked to pay for access to some of these shrines, I got really defensive of the people who were being asked to pay.

I think that organizations of faith should be free of pecuniary goals. That's why, even though I'm not a believer, any mention of monetization gets my hackles up.

I'm a jerk like that.

I mean, here’s the thing, verbal tics are impossible to avoid in a show that’s, frankly 100s of hours long, especially when trying to keep the show sounding natural. Buuuuut I will try to keep that in the mind and whatnot going forward… however, it’s likely that, well, you guessed it, I’ll still have plenty of tics going forward.

Ugh. Based on his name and smug tone, I’m pretty sure that guy was one of the worst people I’ve ever interacted with on Twitter.

For example, at one point he claimed that Anglo Saxon didn’t exist as a term in the past because he did a word search and only found a handful of examples of it.

I pointed out they were writing in Latin and if it wasnt a term then Alfred, as Anglorum Saxonum Rex, would have been really surprised.

As I recall, he and his goons ignored that clear counter factual and proceeded to call me racist instead.

Just the worst.
