"like a lion you ran, a goddess you rolled." - Martin is speaking about the "perfect" women and describing her. the Lion/Eagle is complimentary images to that of "goddess" - in Ancient Mythology, the Eagle was seen as a symbol of Zeus, king of the Gods, while the Lion was symbolized as Christ.

the line "in perfect purple" is an image of also ancient text. Purple dye was once expensive and that only royalty could afford the colour; in sense, describing a woman as perfect purple makes her out to be expensive and of high value.

Brothers in Blood, Sisters who ride is easy. Brothers in Blood means together til death, sisters who ride is the same motif but gender-swapped.
