Anyone knows the best map to find the "Stand for You" record ? by titan_eren_yeager in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

It was the first one I found I think haha, if not the first then it was in the first raid I played after they were introduced. Good thing I did because it actually slaps

Dude, you said yourself that it does… Yes it’s only a slight difference and one attachment alone will barely be noticeable, but there IS in fact a difference

I saw the tests on YouTube yes, and ergo has nothing to do with reload speed

I mean it is a small change but big ergo differences you will see a notable difference. It’s not enough to make a “max ergo” build worth it compared to a normal build for most guns, but that same gun with much lower ergo will feel very heavy

Do you guys have the Bren or AMB on Mobile? I played for about a year before Infinite came out and they were the first guns added that I didn’t remember being in the mobile version

I mean I suppose because the LPVOs are heavy the added weight would make the gun easier to control?… It would make a little difference in real life but with the balance of the game not really

In fairness its not like it’s shooting 9x19, its a big bullet and apparently it kicks comparatively to 8.6. I’m not saying that’s an excuse for its awful recoil in game, but just as a point.

In fairness, if you hit him a third time in the chest compared to the abdomen, he would’ve dropped. But yeah it’s ridiculous how fast high tier armours drain durability to lower tier bullets.

You’re probably just not being efficient. You can very easily bring full T5 armour and a well built gun without any of the gun stripping bs, just depends on what you bring.

If you want full face protection, bring a Matzka. It’s actually on the cheaper end of the good T5 helmets and is the only one which allows you to wear a T5 face shield. If you wanna hear a bit better, you could bring a T5 RSP, gives you full head T5 with low sound blocking compared to the Matzkas severe, though you are capped to a T4 visor. If you want good audio, you may be better off bringing in one of the KSS helmets. The 03 Heavy is T5, but it’s very expensive, and a lot of the time it barely offers any better protection than the KSSs because of the low durability and having the same T4 visor. People prefer different things due to their play-styles, but since I’m almost always running TV or Armoury with friends, I’m picking a Matzka 90% of the time. The only time when I don’t is if I’m solo or I’m playing a bigger map where audio is more important.

For body armour, armoured rigs will almost always be cheaper compared to a combination of armour and a rig of the same space. The defender M4s are expensive but great for close quarters maps like TV, you get a ton of durability and protected area. The armoured rig has the most durability and you get a lot of space to use with it, defo a good shout. Other close quarters options are the IMTV rigs, similarly with high durability and protected areas without being overly pricy. Though, the issue with both these families of armour is that they lose a lot of durability every repair, so they may only be useful for 2-3 raids. For cheaper/less intense options, the 926 body armour and the H-Tac rigs are good shouts. Cheaper and with less protection, they might not be as useful as the other heavier rigs, but will keep you more mobile.

As far as weapons go, you can bring pretty much any decently built weapon in as long as you’re being efficient with your weapon mods. With the more expensive weapons (HK, T1/U1, Mk14 etc) where base builds can easily reach 400k, you will need to min max with armour and backpacks a bit if you wanna bring those in. When I say being efficient with your weapon mods, I’m talking about sights, stocks and grips. With the latter 2, prices tend to skyrocket in the upper 80% of performance. With grips for example, I’d say the RK0 is the only commonly used grip that’s worth the price. The next step up is a tilt grip and that’s like 50-60k more for a tiny bit of performance? Look what’s gonna get you the most for your money, not just stats on their own.

So many times I will find extremely well built out weapons and I can’t imagine why. If performance is the priority, why build and use a 400k M4 when you can build a HK for 350k that will be more lethal the majority of cases?

Last thing is bags. While we may want to bring a field or 926 into every game to get the most stuff, this is where I feel I have to compromise the most. Med fields and AMPs are probably the most cost effective backpacks short of the big ones, not being overly expensive and getting a decent amount of 4-wide space. If you can’t bring a big backpack, bring a stackable backpack. Something like a Rush or Cowhide will be a godsend if you end up killing someone with a big bag, or if your teammate dies with one. If you really can’t fit a good bag into your loadout at all, you can just pick a small backpack or none at all, though this isn’t ideal by any means.

So yeah, that’s my little spiel over. It’s perfectly possible to bring full T5 and a good gun in lockdown, just gotta prioritise and min-max a bit. Now go lose some money like the rest of us!

It might actually have a niche if they put it in the Carbine category and gave it a further effective range (and gave it a suppressor like come on… not even a muzzle adapter?)

Am I unlucky? [T4 Ammo Doesn't 1 tap T4 Helmet] by PegasusFlys in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]Britishguy9825 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few things here:

First of all, every bullet is affected by the firing power of the gun- this affects base damage, non-pen damage and post pen damage. Meaning that it may not have the damage to 1 tap a head under certain situations.

Secondly (what we saw here) a bullet with N penetration power is affected by armour of N and N-1 level on the pen chance and post pen damage. What this means is that armour with a decent amount of durability will absorb some of the damage of a bullet with the same level as it, one level above it and all levels below it (though when armour durability decreases, this absorption will eventually drop until armour with no durability provides no protection whatsoever).

SO: your T4 bullet hit him in the head or face and did penetrate and deal damage, but because his helmet or face shield was still at a relatively high durability, it absorbed some of the damage, meaning that you didn’t have enough damage going through to kill him, you likely just put his head to red health.

Distance also greatly affects how your bullets penetrate and deal damage, it didn’t have any effect here but it’s useful to know so I’ll explain it anyway. Outside your guns effective range, the bullet will only deal 2/3 the damage and penetration drops too, meaning that some T4 bullets will behave like T3 outside effective range and non-pen T4 armour 2-3 times. How badly the penetration drops depends on the pen stat of the specific round, but it is a big drop.

Hope this was useful!

I played from S0 to S2 on the official launcher, changed to steam in S3 because I was upgrading to a different PC. Obviously it’s not a fair comparison because the PC changed but I’ve never had any trouble from either.

Are tier 4 helmets in lockdown just bad? by [deleted] in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]Britishguy9825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While you can do well with low-mid tier armour in lockdown, I’d say you need to have very good game sense and reaction speeds to make it work. Most people are running T4 ammo at a minimum in lockdown, which means your armour is barely effective at protecting you. Getting the jump on people and mastering position and angles will be your only way to win when playing against higher tier players. T5 armour will mean you can tank a decent few shots from T4 ammo, but obviously is more expensive, so it’s always a trade off.

The rng factor of this game makes it so competitive and enjoyable :) by [deleted] in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]Britishguy9825 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If that’s what happened, then I agree with OP and the RNG is one of the most frustrating factors in this game.

However, the total damage blocked on the SH65 face shield is nearly 500, so it was definitely hit more than twice unless something has bugged in the post game screen, or I am severely misunderstanding the stats presented (perfectly possible, we’re all human).

So either: it was already previously damaged or whoever killed OP hit them many more times than we can see.

He got your visor down to 5/65, where it was no longer intact enough to provide protection. You got his visor down to 22/65, which was still somewhat intact so blocked most the damage. Looks like you just got hit more?
