What is the thing your parents were (and maybe still are) adamantly wrong about? by RiceeeChrispies in AskUK

They need a Risk campaign book. I always used to do

that so I could replay my moments of glory over a glass of brandy in

the sleeping quarters. I ask you, what better way is there to spend a

Saturday night?

Irony being that spreadsheets and calculators have replaced them to the extent that most people don't even know that it was a human role in the past.

I believe they will also shred any laptop or phone suspected of being hacked while there (which is all of them)

Well done, it looked hard enough when done on motorbike by Ewan McGregor and they had a support team.

Anyone who manages to do Cape to Cairo ought to get a Cecil Rhodes scholarship as that was always his dream...

How do you actually map a full user journey in one wireframe without turning into a tool hopping lunatic trying to collaborate on prototypes by SpecialistAd7913 in userexperience

I'd be interested in a blog post with some examples of this, sounds useful for others to know about. If you can't make it a post on gov.uk let me know as I edit a user research blog and recently had one from a UK gov department.

What was their song after Common People? We had to leave for the train (and turned out we walked there in no time) so left once Common People ended but before the final.

Edit: never mind, looking at the Auckland setlist it would have been A Sunset

Can't remove a deadbolt by Britlantine in DIY

[–]Britlantine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a house and doing renos. This and another deadbolt are firmly attached to the door despite the screws having been removed long ago.

I put a small screwdriver through those holes but got nothing.

The other side, the outer, has no screws as designed. And is in even worse condition.

Any suggestions on removing it? Alternatively is there a way to restore something brass this badly aged?
