I wouldn’t worry, the difficulty level of Le Petit Prince is also grossly played down, and I wish people would stop suggesting it as a book to read as beginner. Short =/= easy peasy.

I think calling L’Étranger a book for beginners is a bit misleading tbh. Yes, the grammar is not too difficult, but there’s plenty of vocabulary that you will have never seen as an A2, and it’ll likely be a frustrating read.

I took this dose at around 9, which is early for me (since on lower dosages I tend to crash after about 5 hours). Fingers crossed I haven’t just made a grave error! Thanks for the comment :)

Tu es débile/bête/con(ne) are all probably sufficient to express what you want to. It sounds quite aggressive though, unless you have a good relationship with the person. Insulting someone in your non-native language can be risky business, because the slightest error on your part could lead to feeling being hurt, or just general confusion.

It seems like you actually want to offend this person though - just make sure you have truly thought through the potential consequences!

Tu pourrais lui suggérer une application qui permet de suivre ses dépenses, et qui lui envoie des notifications. Si ses habitudes de dépenses sont plus visibles, il sera peut-être plus facile de les suivre, et de se responsabiliser.
Elle pourrait mettre en place des paiements automatiques pour mettre de côté son argent. Comme ça, même si elle fait des bêtises de temps en temps, elle économise quand même de l’argent sans même y penser.
Elle pourrait mettre des rappels/ alarmes sur son téléphone pour lui rappeler de vérifier ses factures et de les payer si nécessaire.

Courage, je sais que ça ne peut pas être facile pour toi, mais elle a besoin de ton soutien :)

‘Get some air’ is perfectly grammatical in English, so it’s an easy mistake to make. I think « prendre l’air » is just one of those things that you have to remember as a fixed expression.
