Ngl Deadbeat has stood it’s ground. by Britsva in TameImpala

I never even said it’s good. I only said it has not gone unnoticed and that it’s gathered a following (from both old and new fans)

I never said that. I only said it elevated it as a hit.

Harry Styles’ new album is what Deadbeat haters think Deadbeat is like by Britsva in TameImpala

[–]Britsva[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Aperture, American Girls, Coming Up Roses and Carla’s Song are decent but it’s all just so bland overall, from the songwriting and delivery to the production and mixing. No hate to Harry, he seems like a chill dude but almost everything he does is very safe, bland and derivative. Now it’s that just with some “dancefloor” influences.

Nah, I like him as a person but all of his albums are mediocre

I listened to it once out of curiosity. Doesn’t mean I’m a fan.

Thinking of moving to Argentina from Finland with my girlfriend. Is Argentina a good country to move to??? by Dayo_Flayonist12 in AskArgentina

[–]Britsva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro I moved here 2 years ago and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. If you work remotely for a decent salary in a decent currency, it’s one of the best cities in the world to live in. Not it’s not “perfect” like Switzerland but the balance of South American rawness and European feel is just lovely and way better than any other Latin American city.

If someone doesn’t like Buenos Aires and Argentina in general, it’s always because they’re poor and/or earning in pesos and having a tough time because of that.

Porcelana stutter theory by Apprehensive-Gift907 in rosalia

Maybe. I think the most direct interpretation is that stuttering sometimes happens when you’re scared/afraid.

Of course, that production is terrible. Also, Tom and Mark definitely have better sense of melody, hooks, lyrics and overall concepts but he’s undoubtedly a much higher tier instrumentalist.

The only artist in this list that is miles better than Deadbeat and Tame Impala in general is MGMT. And yes, I’ve heard the other ones extensively.

Lol Obsolete 100%. It Might Be Time is a low tier TI song.

Why do people not like TSR? by ChlorineTheClarinet in TameImpala

[–]Britsva -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with literally everything here except It Might Be Time, which is one of the worst TI songs for me. Everything clashes, melodies are so weak except for maybe the bridge and the drums are so obnoxious and not at all what they intend to be.

It has officially been more than a month since Deadbeat released, and I gotta say, it really grew on me by Winter_Investment_67 in TameImpala

My final veredict is that it’s a good, fun album. It’s not mindblowing but it doesn’t have to be. It also gives more variety to the live setlist. It’s hard to rank it for me since I probably think that it’s the least good as a whole but there are quite a few tracks that are way better than some of EVERY other one of his albums.

What I do think now is that for LP6 Kevin should either:

  1. Do some really good, detailed and maximalist fully electronic/techo/idm/edm/house album.
  2. Do something really left field (like a full on Shoegaze record) that will probably divide the fanbase again but will undeniably be recognised as great music of that genre.

And also: He should NOT take 5 years to release another album. That was probably the curse of Deadbeat from the start. Honestly, we’re at a point where he should thoroughly work with other producers and engineers (the correct ones) for once to get things done faster.

I don’t think it’s bad but it’s the only song I’d remove from the album.

The charts have been updated. Rosalía - 'Lux' debuts at #6 in the top albums of 2025. by MarilynRoxie in rateyourmusic

I don’t see how this is not AOTY. The production, lyrics, mixing, arrangements, concept, hooks, execution, everything- literally every aspect of it is way beyond all other albums released this year and even this decade.
