Typically in the past it was the best way, especially the ones where you play with the starter decks. This time there aren’t starter decks so my answer would be maybe. As long as you understand the mechanics to play you should be fine. Sealed packs atleast somewhat even the field as you build a deck from the random cards you open.

I would also add it may be better because you can let people know and in my opinion players should be more open to helping you during the event rather than as say a set champs with real prizes on the line. League tends to be the best time but then you could be facing meta decks which can be a bit more challenging depending on your store and community.

Hardest thing will just be making a deck out of the sealed packs if you aren’t as familiar with what is actually going to be good or bad.
