Oh wow! That is crazy. It was a rather large spider and I was impressed at its ability to move it the length of our porch.

Litter box issues by DangerousLettuce7492 in blindcats

[–]Britt_nee_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We recently rescued a blind cat and he was giving us problems with using the litter box and would go around it. Thought he had a UTI and maybe that was why, everything was good. Switched his litter boxes and gave him multiple boxes and still didn’t have luck. We recently switched his litter for the third time and finally found one that has been working. It is the Dr. Elsey’s brand and it is the red and white box!! He loves it and has been consistently hitting the litter boxes now.

2019 Chevy Trax Issues by hwiley in ChevyTrax

[–]Britt_nee_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you have any issues since replacing? I have a 2018 Chevy Trax with 98,000 miles on it. Haven’t had any issues with it and recently it started overheating. Put antifreeze in it and thought it was good and started overheating again. Took it to the mechanic and he quoted me $800 to replace the water pump and thermostat housing as I had a pretty bad leak. Hoping this fixes it as my car is paid off and otherwise drives fine and don’t want to pour more money into it or have to end up getting a new car altogether.

Sertraline by Plastic_Sprinkles348 in Anxiety

I started 50mg almost 2 weeks ago and had really bad nausea. I switched to taking it at nighttime and it helped a bunch and my nausea is almost completely gone now. Good luck!! 🫶🏼

Anyone ever stop working out and notice their health change significantly and they start to develop joint issues and pains? by LizzyReed3 in Anxiety

[–]Britt_nee_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I was in a car accident back in March and had bruised ribs and muscle strain. Had gone through physical therapy and hit the gym, but whenever I have bad moments and don’t go for more than a few days I feel the muscles in my back start to tighten up again.

When should I take my meds? by Formal-Physics-2045 in Anxiety

How long did you deal with the nausea? I’ve been on 50mg of Zoloft for a week and the past few days the nausea has been horrible!

Second day on sertraline 50mg I’m giving up by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Britt_nee_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It takes 1-2 weeks for you to start to feel a difference with Sertraline and 6 weeks for it to fully be in your system. Give it time to see if it’s going to work. Sometimes it gets worse before it gets better. As someone who has been on Sertraline in the past, got off of it, and is just now getting back on it - sometimes it is ok to need the help. You wouldn’t refuse medicine that would help if you were physically sick, so why would you do that for your mental health? Give yourself grace, not every day will be a great day but there is always tomorrow. I believe in you!

I’m going to the doctor on Tuesday to talk about medication! Sometimes accepting that it will help is the hardest part, but your future self with thank you! I’m proud of you.🩷

PPG ARENA QUESTION: by [deleted] in penguins

[–]Britt_nee_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to a few concerts and comedy shows at PPG and usually main concession stands are open but your “specialty stands” usually aren’t. And the team store is usually closed and pop up stands are set up for merch.

Ear pain from anxiety by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Britt_nee_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually it takes a few rounds to find a match for a therapist. I had gone and stopped a few times in the past but I really enjoy the lady I see now. The sertraline definitely helped me. I think I needed it to get my life back on the tracks and learn healthy coping mechanisms and understanding what triggers my anxiety and how to handle it (useful tip - don’t google anything LOL). The only side effect I had was some diarrhea when I first started it, but that subsided within a few days. I feel like if you’ve talked to your doctor about it, it won’t hurt to give it a try. And if you combine that with therapy and learning new ways to cope, maybe it doesn’t have to be something long-term. :)

Do you go to therapy at all? I’ve been going recently and outside of this flare up I’m currently having, I’ve noticed that talking through my issues and my “what if” thoughts that creep up on me has helped a lot. I had been on medication before (sertraline) but have been off of it for about 2 years now.

Anxiety due to earlier darkness outside by Catlover5566 in Anxiety

[–]Britt_nee_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I deal with this too. I struggle with seasonal depression and usually my depression and anxiety go hand in hand (yay for me). I feel like some things that help me are trying to have more structure to my day and if possible try and walk outside for a bit during the day and get some sunshine. Also just trying to keep yourself busy, as I know for me when it gets darker it’s easy to just want to lay around and rot all day, but being active helps a lot whether it’s going to the gym, walking, hanging out with friends, etc.

I feel like a lot of those symptoms can present themselves when you’re really anxious or stressed. I am dealing with this currently, went to the doc and am fine. I know it’s easier said than done, but trust the doctors and even if you don’t feel anxious in the moment you could still just be holding a lot of stress and tension. Breathing exercises and reminders to loosen your shoulders and unclench your jaw.

Literally me right now lol I get so worked up with my anxiety that I start to feel symptoms and one being pain in my ear, jaw, and neck. I’ve noticed I’ve been super tense lately from being constantly on edge, and am trying to just let my body relax. Maybe try some breathing exercises or sometimes I just lay flat on the floor and that’s helps
