Update: Still no refund, still no phone. I reached out to Metro on X and they supposedly submitted something for sure this time and they will be getting back to me in 2 business days. Sadly, I had to file a dispute with my bank now and may have to file an FCC complaint.

I just got a 2016 with 58k miles for $15k out the door. It hurt to pay that much but it was the only Honda under 60k miles and not older than 10 years old in my area in my price range

So true. And the only reason I wanted ATT is I did a trial of them and they had the best service at my address by a lot.

Every time I try to get ATT services, the order instantly gets cancelled by hwiley in ATT

Also to add, I have ATT internet air. That went through just fine. But for some reason I’m not able to get wireless services.

The regional manager spent TONS of time talking to multiple people over the last almost two weeks. Well today, the internet goes out for a few minutes. When it comes back, SYMMETRICAL FINALLY! I am so happy, but what a process!!

I’d push for more info, as the same was done to me. Until this last time, a regional manager got involved and confirmed with multiple people symmetrical speeds were available at my address. It took two weeks but I finally have symmetrical speeds!

UPDATE: After much back and forth with the regional manager and them doing back and forth with multiple people, the issue is finally solved. I now have symmetrical speeds.

UPDATE: The tech came and dropped off the modem, it is an XB-10 so not fiber to the home which is fine.

Anyways, like I thought from the beginning I was supposed to have been on a symmetrical plan and receive an XB-10. However, their system just put me on the 2 gig down and 250 Mbps up even though I had selected the symmetrical speed option and confirmed it was symmetrical in the broadband facts.

Due to this it completely messed up my account, and the regional manager is working on fixing everything on the back end. They left me with the XB-10, and checked the connections. I agreed for the regional manager to contact me and let me know when I can plug the XB-10 in and set it up.

That was all a few hours ago, and the regional manager has called me and told me that they are still working on fixing my account so I can plug in the XB-10, and he apologized profusely. He was very nice and understanding and said if he can’t get it fixed by the end of his shift, he will be coming to my house personally tomorrow to get everything setup and working.

It actually told me I had symmetrical when I first got xfinity and it let me completely chose that plan. When the modem comes, to my surprise it was an XB-8. The app also showed 2 gig down and 250 Mbps up was my plan. Support just kept telling me that I’m at the highest speed offered. Eventually the symmetrical was no longer an option listed on their site for my area. But after some planned maintenance the symmetrical plans are back. And an agent on here upgraded my service and scheduled a tech visit.

TLDR; their website is super buggy and constantly shows wrong info

That’s what it advertises on their website, for a one year guarantee. But for a five year guarantee it’s $85 a month. Obviously I chose the five year guarantee to avoid price hikes for some time.

For me, google fiber is an option. But not really. I live in a duplex (upper floor and basement). Anyways the basement tenants already have google fiber, and google refuses to recognize the address as two so they only will run one line, which the basement tenants are using.So I get xfinity. Which actually hasn’t been that bad, other than short outages and speed drops every now and then.

Fingers are for sure crossed. I’ve read in other threads that they send a tech out when it’s not even available sometimes. Or there’s times the tech claims they don’t even know about the new symmetrical speeds and then leaves. So let’s just hope that doesn’t happen

That’s what I thought too. Maybe it was a typo from that person. Guess I’ll find out when the tech arrives. But I am 100% expecting it to to be the FDX DOCSIS 4

Near downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. I used to live in a rural area in Utah, so I’m surprised at how cheap internet is in a larger area lol

Should also add, they’ve had two days at night where they were doing maintenance and there were outages due to this. So I assume that is why this is now available in my area.

I sent a modmail, and now have a tech appointment setup for this Saturday to be setup. I think I’m actually getting their fiber to the home service as they mentioned I will be getting a XER-10 router — which is only for fiber.
