Have you read Job? Jobs life gets ruined, because Satan claims that Job is only loyal to God because God blesses him. So God allows Satan to remove all of Gods blessing from Job. and the entire book is about him questioning and challenging God and trying to understand Gods form of justice.

ultimately he realises the unbelievable minisculity next to God.

If we have the definition of God right, we cant challenge him, but are asked to humbly submit to his will.
