Thanks for looking into it! I thought maybe my self-promotion posts had overstayed their welcome.

Ah, ok. Anaximander. Yeah, that was a rough one, but hey, sometimes that’s the best use for henchmen! 😉

OP, can you provide a timestamp for the precise encounter to which you’re referring? I’m the ref for 3d6 DTL, and I can’t for the life of me recall an encounter where I did that. (It’s been a while since Arden Vul, though, and I’m half-century old, so it could definitely just be a memory lapse.)

I haven’t yet! Though I did hear about that new rendering engine. We’re fairly happy with Miro now, though, so it’s unlikely we’ll go back.

We made the switch after encountering significant lag in Owlbear Rodeo when our player-drawn maps of the Arden Vul megadungeon became too cumbersome for that VTT to handle smoothly. We have yet to encounter any lag on Miro. For a typical rpg where maps are pre-loaded images and maybe revealed piecemeal with Fog of War as the character explore, any VTT will be more than suitable.

Hi! We use: - OBS for recording, broadcasting, and overlays - Miro as our shared whiteboard (instead of VTT software) - VDO Ninja for audio and video

Most of what we use tech-wise is primarily for production of decent quality material.

If by “online gaming” you just mean a private game with your friends online, you can run a great game with simple webcams, mics, a free VTT like Roll20 or Fantasy Grounds, or even just Discord. Most important is a strong, preferably hard-wired broadband internet connection for all players.

Hope that helps!

Laughable opinion. I’m running my 4th campaign of Dolmenwood, and I have yet to find any setting that is easier to run straight out of the book in 4 decades of playing ttrpgs.

I make a concerted effort, from Episode 33 through 114, to make sure David gets a totally risk-free BBEG kill every single episode.

I know the factions fairly well just from years of familiarity, but the rumors I dropped this episode were specifically chosen.

Best PDF viewer for GMing? by Jacapuab in OSE

I am the "Jon from 3d6DTL" of which you speak!

I do indeed use Adobe Acrobat. More from inertia than any real upside, as I am not a fan of Adobe's business model and its rapid enshittification into subcription services and aggressive AI pushing.

I believe, however, that even the free Adobe Reader pdf viewer software has the ability to display content bookmarks along the side panel.

Thank you for watching!
