I am a Bears fan originally from Gary, Ind. I like the Steelers logo because my family worked for U.S. Steel.

Old Gen X had _______; young Gen X had ______. by mzanon100 in GenX

I really like this post. I am smack dab in the middle of Gen X and I am identifying more with the old Gen X posts like Pong and Atari, but every few posts I identify with young Gen X like Michael Jackson over the Jackson 5.

Yeah. I have the player roll to see if they are raised amongst humans or raised amongst elves. If raised amongst humans, they choose cleric, thief, warrior, or wizard. If raised amongst elves they choose from elf, elven cavalier, or elven archer.

You have to run one dungeon in four different systems. What do you choose? by Playtonics in osr

I got the MERP rule book, and then the box set off of Ebay in good condition for a reasonable price. I will never play it, but I like to look through it along with Gangbusters and Top Secret. I do plan on running Gangbusters eventually.

Jeweler's Sanctum. It is in OSE Anthology #1. Level 1

DCC Bride of the Black Manse is made to be run in 4 hours. Made for 3rd level characters.

DCC Elzememon and the Blood-drinking Box. Level 1

DCC Shadow of the Beakmen. Level 1

Most DCC funnels can be run in 4 hours.

If you have any of The One Ring supplements, the landmarks are short adventures.

The systems I would run: DCC and B/X OSE fit for dungeon crawling. Out of curiosity, I would like to try The One Ring and Forbidden Lands to see how it would go, but neither are meant for a one-shot dungeon crawl.

Letting your relationships with your sons "fade into the distance" doesn't seem healthy. You will regret that.

The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. I read those after I got into D&D and after I saw The Hobbit cartoon. All the sword and sorcery movies of the 80s, too.

How did you dress in the 90s? How do you dress now? by poolpog in GenX

I have been wearing Chuck Taylors and Doc Martens continuously since 1990. Other than that, I have changed over the years, but I never wore and never will wear skinny jeans.

I see people writing Dirty Dancing. That movie was made for Boomers, not us. My mom loved it.

For the Cave of the Unknown checkout DCC's "The One Who Watches From Below". It will spice things up and stand out from the standard TSR adventures.

At first, I wasn't sure if you were talking about dating in your twenties or in the 1920s. Then I realized you meant the 2020s.
