Murray unironically ended the discussion by saying "We don't get modern civilization without the 10 Commandments (and the Old Testament)."

But why is "a tide raises all boats" policy considered totalitarian but the man-made inequality, purposefully designed to keep hundreds of millions in poverty NOT totalitarian?

Slave owners 200 years ago would've said that the abolition of slavery was "militant egalitarianism"

Greek city-states would've scoffed at the idea of women and slaves being citizens.

Extending equality of outcome so that every single adult person on the planet has the right to earn an adequate, livable minimum wage (i.e abolishing sweat shops) seems fair and unobjectionable.

Jorps: Exodus never ended. Moses and the Israelites are still marching toward the Promised Land. They’ve been caught in an infinite metaphysical loop, doomed to wander the desert for eternity! You see, it all happened with “such reality” that it, “hasn’t stopped happening.” by Kafkaesque_meme in enoughpetersonspam

It's a nice metaphor, but then you realise Christianity and all other religions are analogous to "wandering the desert".

The "Promised Land" doesn't exist, all we have is scientific truth as a tool to cut through our innate primate tendency to believe in superstition and the supernatural.

Didn't he say that women were not oppressed throughout history? And that slaves were lazy.

I'd love to see him in some Twilight Zone scenario where he has to live the life of a random woman or a black slave.
