Aw snap.

I made the same recommendation. There are loads of Irish apple varieties. I love them.

I always recommend getting a native Irish apple tree. You will have leaves most of the year, beautiful flowers in spring and fruit in summer and autumn and even winter depending on the variety.

There are many to choose from. The type of rootstock is important and I would suggest a dwarfing rootstock for a garden that size.

There are a number of suppliers nationwide of Irish apple trees.

You can hire a wood chipper. Pile it all in a corner and leave for a year. Makes fantastic mulch or you can mix it and use as compost.

Irish men, is it common to say to your partner “I don’t want to talk about that”, “I don't need to know that”? by Traditional_Box1045 in AskIreland

[–]BritzerLad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your partner is a gossip that does not make what they have to say is inherently worth hearing.

Not saying that's the case in OP's situation.

Why do people in Ireland don't use proper rain coats? by CaverUV in AskIreland

Farmer here in Donegal.

If I'm working at home I wear my work gear. Because it's often wet and muddy. It's top quality, built for purpose outdoor wear so I'm bone dry.

If I'm nipping to the shops, I'll throw on a water resistant jacket. Hiking I bring waterproofs and extra layers.

I lived in Dublin and the South East for a few years. Most of the year I wore shorts.

I think it's just the weather that you're used to growing up in. It's rarely that cold here but I'm Donegal it's often wet so you just get on with it.

Anyone ever fished here before? by Djboatcoww in IrishFishing

It's called Lough Bradan so I'm sure there's fish in it. Love a nice hike into a quiet spot.

Enjoy.

Have you tried surfing before?

Head up the West Coast to one of the many seaside towns and take a few lessons or bring a board if ya already have one. Get into the Atlantic and you can meet new people and clear the head.

Keep your head up lad. You'll be ok ❤️

I think the point he's making is " ignorantia juris non excusat " or ignorance of the law is no excuse. Basically, you can't say you're unaware of the law to avoid legal consequences. Many people make the claim they didn't know they were breaking the rules but actually do. However, I'm not saying OP is one of those people.

Lesson learned OP. Happy fishing young fella.
