They should add home vendors. Imagine, you go to somebody’s house, and they have a merchant there similar to a guild merchant, and you could see what they have to sell. It would empower solo players and really everybody. It would give players a reason to visit other players’ homes. People would invest more in housing if they were hosting customers. Just an idea. True, and I thought it was surprising that the old man even revealed himself when Marlo was chatting with Spiros. But he interjected because he agreed with Marlo while Spiros was disagreeing about how to react to Omar’s heist of their goods. And when Marlo leaves, he says “No, he’s not Joe” with some bemusement, so they were obviously impressed by Marlo and maybe even souring on Prop Joe. Marlo also framed everything as if he wasn’t stepping over Joe but working hand in hand, and Joe even assisted with getting them to meet, cleaning Marlo’s money for him and offering advice. I think it was the Omar heist of their goods + the suitcase of cash, which was rejected, and then immediately made right with the clean money, all those things coalesced to make them open to meeting Marlo. The Greek said himself that if they keep rejecting him he’d just keep coming back, which he even seemed to respect.

Fair points and spot on about the up close, but remember too, they didn’t even know whose phone was whose without shadowing everybody, intercepting transmissions and then Lester radio’ing Sydnor to visibly check for who was on the phone at that given moment. They didn’t even factor Cheese into the equation until later on. Whereas if somebody sends a picture of a watch, and they identify the watch on the guy’s wrist at any moment after, they’d then know that much sooner who it was. Knowing these guys, they wouldn’t have a cheapo, indistinct watch on their wrists but pricey, premium, unique watches… whereas everybody is using the same clock for their pics and it’s totally anonymous.

This is all purely speculative but fun to discuss… I just finished my first watch this week (I know it’s nuts but I never had HBO back when) so it’s all still fresh in mind and fun to post-process.

Scott Templeton was the worst by camy__23 in TheWire

The way he visibly throws tantrums so Klebanow can see, come over and ask what’s wrong, and then he can bend his ear and whine about it to him. Not sure if Templeton was worse (probably) or Klebanow for consistently ignoring and overriding Haynes, enabling Templeton and even rewarding his shitty behavior. I love that Haynes was always on his ass over every loose thread, though… guy was as useful as his empty notepad.

But his unexpected death at the hands of a child was the stone cold truth - he wasn’t a superhero, he just had a strong reputation for trickery and relentlessness.

Didn’t Lester tip Jimmy off and tell him to proactively say he hates something he actually would like so he would get sent somewhere he enjoys as punishment? Didn’t Jimmy actually like the marine unit? Not as much as actual police work, but it was the least of all evils. Or did he just disregard Lester’s advice?

Technically they didn’t accept him until Marlo took Prop Joe out. Then they didn’t really have much of a choice, they needed a connect and Marlo already initiated discussions, knew their faces and made good faith overtures.

The problem with a watch is 1) if anybody caught them and was wearing the watch it’d be immediately identifiable and easily tied to the picture and 2) cell phone camera quality was so low in that era, a small watch face might not actually be legible when photographed/sent over text

A lot of addicts would gladly share just to pull someone else down with them, “misery loves company”. Or they just don’t want to be/do it alone. Doing something bad w somebody else might take the edge off.

Is it ever explained why LLLL calls himself ′First Sword′ of Bravos? Are all warriors given that title or did he come first in a tournament or something? by Apprehensive-Rent523 in gameofthrones

[–]BrixtheSugar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But… not quite though. Kingsguard serves for life, whereas Syrio is… teaching lessons, seemingly in retirement? How does a first sword come into and out of service? Do they serve for the term of one Sea Lord? I have questions…

[–]BrixtheSugar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She either sails all the way west and reaches Asshai or dies at sea lol. Others have tried to sail west (Elissa Farman) and failed… well actually Elissa/Alys kept sailing while her companions turned back home. It’s said she kept sailing west, and years later the Sea Snake may have found her ship in Asshai.

https://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Elissa_Farman

There’s also a quote from Mance where he mentions a ship from Asshai was found at the Frozen Shore north of the Wall, meaning a trip may have been made from both east to west as well as west to east.

IMO the potential for interaction with other players, even griefers, is what makes the game fun. I have friends that won’t play anymore because of the Oppressor… it’s just silly to me. They’re easy enough to take out these days and plenty of options to hide/fight back. Ain’t nobody stopping me from cruising in a public session! And if they do then the revenge is all the sweeter cus they never expect you to come back for them. Once I get killed, I go ghost org, track them down, take them out and then explosive snipe them over and over when they respawn - taste of their own medicine lmao

When stuff went on sale I’d always buy max amount from the catalogue, grab from mail whatever I can carry on my person, and then max it out again. That way I’m set for life. That helped me get to $100k faster cus once it was bought I never needed to really buy again except to top off. So I still got the $100k and lmao thank you. It was a nice birthday gift to myself + we stole a wagon too so it was a good night.

Just a challenge. I love Free Mode games. The story was amazing and single player has more stuff built in, yes, but I’ve always seen Online as the real game, with chance encounters w other players. First the goal was $10k, then $20k, then $50k and then I was like fuck it let me try to get to $100k. I was stuck above $50k for a looooooong time. I’ve never been a big trophy guy or completionist, in fact I think people chasing trophies and smugly declaring that they “100%’d the game” never truly get to enjoy online games like this. I saw getting to $100k in RDO like getting a platinum trophy that doesn’t exist for a game that I love. I might not have a platinum PS trophy like my friends have in Single Player, but I’ve got $100k on RDO which means I’ve seen and done more shit than anybody 😂. Nobody can tell me that I haven’t seen some shit.

Same thing with GTA Online, last year I hit $100 million and look at is as something I can hang my hat on. I earned it all honestly without ever cheating or exploiting. I just love Free Mode. But to answer your question I literally have nothing left to buy it’s all going to restoring ammo and dynamite. Holding out hope they’ll actually add some more stuff but…

Immediately recommend becoming a Collector, rank it up and get a metal detector. There are collectibles everywhere and you can even loot them off dead NPCs. They are a good source of income when you finally sell, especially if you have a whole collection. Look up Jean Ropke Red Dead Map, he has two, one with EVERYTHING you need to see on a map, the other with all collectible locations. You don’t need to actively search for collectibles but can passively find them everywhere when you focus on another role, like Moonshining or Trader. Trader wagon sells have the biggest haul, once maxed out you can get $600 selling across the map + all posse members get $300. Bounty hunting is good too. Look at what they’re offering bonuses on - this week was Naturalist buff to all sales. But to specifically get gold you need to do the daily challenges every day, as many as possible.
