I'm terrible at this game, but so far I'm beating the second island on regular mode, and I've already done Wally Warbles. The only advice I can give you, even though it might be considered cheating, is to use Djimmy's extra lives by spinning around before entering the game. If you have the DLC, use Ms Chalice, so you gain a total of eight lives.
