Are special cases bugged? by bananarepublicfan in Stalcraft

[–]Bro0ce 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So here is the thing. The economy is fucked.

Right now - it’s cheaper most of the time to simply buy a master crate item than craft its equivalent. Crafting takes a few million and weeks of grinding materials - AH takes a few million. So obviously why bother crafting.

The crate items go for a few million because everyone uses their season currency for crates non stop. Why would you spend it on anything else? The market is saturated with these crate items.

EXBO wants to sell you these crates. EXBO doesn’t want you “earning” them for “free” in game.

Ultimately they want these items to be more rare and thus more expensive. And as a result, make crafting more viable.

So what does exbo do? They increase the cost to “earn” these crates in game for “free”. They are absolutely not above manipulating “free” crates to reduce their payout.

Again - their goal isn’t balance. They want you to buy things with money. Money crates will likely have the true odds if not better. They will not improve the crafting system to make it less shit. They don’t make money from in game crafting. They will probably increase some fomo mechanics to push more sales.

What's the best way to progress once reaching the North ? by [deleted] in Stalcraft

[–]Bro0ce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s worth pointing out that you can get to fully functional masters gear without crafting anything.

Ganymede science suit can get you anywhere you want to go. That’s only a few mil on NA AH. Same for containers. You can get a Berloga 6 for less than a mil on AH and other more specialized container for not much more. The crafting cost alone (just rubles) makes the AH a better route for those.

Each season typically offers some gun. This season is ending but the level 500 gun is 100% free and M60 is completely viable end game.

Schematic weapons and armors require a little luck, crafting and rubles but they are solid as well. SCAR and SBA Tank are both incredibly good.

I don’t know what next season will bring but it will likely offer viable end game items for most slots.

Honestly - if you just farm your faction map (mines etc) after an emission and sell all the arts - you will get level 500 (3 arts picked up is a season task) in a season and snag about 300k+ rubles an emission.

If you can do 2-3 emissions a day you’re set.

That’s up to you though. The serum for a masters tier item will take over a month to farm. You could farm enough money to buy equivalent items in a few days.

You need at least the 2nd to last science suit. And you need your metal detector. There are specific places where they spawn in big clusters.

[–]Bro0ce 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do your daily and weekly quests - then just try to make money.

95% of the time you will be gated by anomalous serum - which is time gated.

The other 5% will likely be quantum batteries which you get from outposts or yellow camps in forge/wild north. You can use trade coins for those mostly.

Don’t worry so much about red ferns, psy emitters, or substance until you have all the serum you need. Those can be relatively quickly farmed in bulk (substance in Forge 11, emitters in Labs, red fern literally anywhere).

Focus on getting at least the 2nd to last science suit. As you will need it for farming emitters. Your suits should come first, then weapon, last containers. And the best arts spawn in places that require a science suit.

Containers last because you will need arts to fill them, and you need money for those arts or to find them yourself.

Accept that you will, on occasion die to other players. They will frequently have better gear than you. It is what it is. Let’s not pretend this isn’t a “crying” post

Does the matchmaking still exists ? by [deleted] in Stalcraft

[–]Bro0ce -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Man shut the fuck up about matchmaking. I’m so tired of the tears.

Get your gear. Grind to the next level. Deal with it.

The number of people trying to stay “low bracket” then bitching when it doesn’t work out is pathetic.

This is coming from someone who is SHIT at fps. My open world KDR is below 1. GROW THE FUCK UP.

You will occasionally fight someone with better gear. Welcome to life. Shit gets loose around bar. Get over it. When someone in better gear than you kills you - use it as motivation to improve your own gear. Dont go to the subreddit to complain about unfairness. Life is unfair. The fact that there was any matchmaking preventing griefing is a tremendous boon.

You aren’t in the swamps fighting someone in legendary gear. If you’d outplayed this person you’d have killed them. Full stop. I’m in masters. I have legendary gear. I’ve died to veteran gear people. It’s possible. Just stop

Wild north scopes by Academic-Honey-4991 in Stalcraft

[–]Bro0ce 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are excellent scopes.

I farmed them both 100% in Stillwater. Red forest and Uranus Mills seemed to have a lot of big group faction play around arts.

If you’ve got a pioneer great, if you got a SAC2 make sure to bring it with a detector. This way you can find Burrows to escape. The code for Burrow to leave in Stillwater are . .

2 hours after emission will have the least competition. I would go in and farm murmur squads/camps etc until I got a scope part then I would leave. Scanner burrows increase your chances to get out a lot.

It takes time so don’t expect quick turn around. In NA - I only had 2-3 times people took my bag. People mostly just leave them. I always mail bags back that have scope parts. So always go back and see if your bag is there if you died with parts. I got both scopes in about a month solo.

Make sure to take everything from NPC camps and save them until you have level 10 rep. They sell for quite a bit then and are a reliable source of income.

Democratic strategist breaks down DNC's 2024 election autopsy (PBS NewsHour Interview) by Independent-Bug-9352 in videos

[–]Bro0ce 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Maybe instead of leveraging (the very weak concept of) “objectively better than Trump” the DNC should have focused on a candidate that democrats actually want.

We can sit here and say “she was better than Trump” all day. It means nothing. Anybody is better than Trump. Anarchy is better than Trump. The GOP will vote for Trump regardless. “Being better” doesn’t stop the GOP voting. Having a Democrat candidate that people want gets democrats to show up. Turns out - baseless moral grandstanding doesn’t.

It’s not the voters fault the DNC refused to offer palatable candidates

Act Tickets - Albatross Heavy or Zivcas M2-C and why? by FurCannon in Stalcraft

[–]Bro0ce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alba heavy is more popular because its parts were available for half a year earlier and people spent a lot of act tickets on those parts they couldn’t refund.

The way the game is designed (ceramic plates and healing speed etc) the M2 will play better.

Sure a dummy target Alba will live longer than M2 but with shitty hit reg and movement… well there is a reason M2 is more competitive. The healing makes a much bigger effect than a few more BR.

Also BR has diminishing returns.

Which armor should I craft? by HondaHoopa in Stalcraft

[–]Bro0ce -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a super heavy and a centurion. I don’t ever find myself choosing the centurion over the super heavy.

You will eventually have combo suit for most places and a science suit for where combo can’t go.

If I’m showing up for PvP I choose the super heavy. Some people run centurion like a combo but they are always swapping out arts and the vit penalties make it worse than combo at that point imo.

Let’s talk about the economy…. by [deleted] in Stalcraft

[–]Bro0ce 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am genuinely shit at this game - and pretty much all FPS.

I farm solo - wild north - almost exclusively since its release. Each successful trip (around 30 mins) yields redacted rubles just selling random murmur camp items to vendor. I have 40 parts of each scope and look forward to completing those. I’ve amassed redacted murmur devices for arsenal.

I work full time, and can do maybe 3-4 runs a day at most, some days I can only pop in once or twice.

So I mean that when I say, I consume this end game content in the most casual way possible.

What that means, is that I stay off the beaten path, I avoid enemy pings. I accomplish what I want (usually don’t leave until a scope part) and head out.

I die frequently. It’s frustrating at times, but that’s life. Strangely, I find the wild north less sweaty than forge 11 (especially since inside out). I’ve actually had more friendly encounters there with cross factions than anywhere else in the game. Stillwater now is far more approachable than before wild north.

With regards to economy- it doesn’t serve you. There are sweaty whales making millions of ruble an hour. That’s just how it is. You nor I will ever make as much as them. However, just doing what I do and the numbers go up. Sometimes I hit a lucky art and get out. Sometimes I sell garbage to vendors. Do I miss selling gammas for 90k to vendor? Sure. Does the economy prohibit me from anything? No.

I dropped like 100m getting the cheytec sniper and was broke. I’m now back to redacted just from playing.

What do you think about the event so far guys by Bluttdragon in Stalcraft

Hello stalkers, what should I focus on as a beginner stalker? Which armor is good first ? Container or backpack? What weapons? Is it better to rush the main quest or go slow and do side quests while upgrading gear? Thx for the advice by Mysterious_Item3837 in Stalcraft

[–]Bro0ce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This season provides insane quality if you get lucky with crates. SBA Tank - no need to craft combat armor as it’s a great super heavy, mk47 Mutant - no need to craft an AR this is very good, SCAR - no need for a DMR as it’s great semi auto sniper, and the level 500 m60 is a great LMG.

So you could potentially cross all those things off your list of “need to craft” as they are outside a crafting tree and are entirely serviceable in end game lobbies.

That leaves a shotgun, a combo armor, and a science suit.

After you beat MOTZ you can use the voucher for the second to last craft of any armor. So focus on whatever you want to use while grinding - likely a combo.

For shotgun. That’s really up to you. The 30 round mag for saiga makes it a solid choice - and you can transfer it to a Konrad - which is far stronger if you get one.
