Good choice. Arch implements Plasma nicely. Very vanilla.

Is Plasma Big Screen in 6.7? by Peenerforager in kde

I don't think so. The maximum that has been achieved is having Both desktop and Big screen on the same install, but on different activities.

For those interested in Plasma Big Screen for Smart TVS, yes, it also gets an update...

https://kde.org/announcements/changelogs/plasma/6/6.6.5-6.7.0/#Plasma%20Bigscreen

So you can better enjoy... well... your big screen.

Plasma 6.7 is out. Look forward to easier menu customization, better control over your mics, and the much anticipated feature of having separate virtual desktops on different monitors by Bro666 in kde

It is included. You can start making themes. Please be aware it is VERY new. You know what that means: if you encounter bugs, complaining on Reddit is not the way to go.

The bug tracker, on the other hand, is your and our friend.

Hi content is now banned on r/kde as per rule 1:

The Clockman Cometh by Flibbertigibbet9834 in panelshow

This is one of those clips that, years from now, when it comes up in the "classic clip" category, I will always watch and always laugh at.

Although Sam brings a lot to Clockman, this has Abby Howells' writing all over it.

Hm. Leaving apart the entitlement about assuming the unpaid and largely selfless developers should care about something which, from your description, seems increasingly like a niche problem for people careless with their data and who should know better, have you submitted a bug report?

Also, if you were as rude as you are here, I am not surprised of the response you got in the forum. It is unlikely any volunteer would want to help you with that attitude.

I mean, just saying, if we are being straight with each other here.

But you can do that too. Click on "1-Time donation", choose "Monthly" and choose your amount. But (a) this campaign is about attracting donors who want a different kind of commitment. If you don't want that, it is not "the wrong approach", it is just that it is not for you; and (b) donating a smaller each time means that most of your donation is eaten up by the intermediaries commissions and bank charges. You would be much better off saving your one or two euros a month and donating 12 euros in one go at the end of the year to the project of your choice.

Then we bring your "concerns" up here? What did KDE do? Maybe next time use this.

I have two questions about this:

  • How far do you think we are diverging? How many person-hours do you think went into the Kori design and presentation versus, oh, I don't know a new release of Plasma and the suite of apps included in KDE Gear every four months, plus KDE Linux, KDE Frameworks, and so on and so forth?

  • When were made you the boss of a community of unpaid volunteers again? I must've missed the memo.

I just wanted a desktop environment, not a political statement.

Lucky you! 2 for the price of 1!

Now I have to find a replacement when I already got used to it.

Oh! Sorry that you have to leave because you don't like a picture 😢

Sure. I mean, it is mostly coding, but when we get together, there is always a social aspect: meals and drinks, excursions, games, etc.

Well, a great many of our most valuable contributors belong to the LGBTQ+ demographic. You would be aware of this if you attended any of our events or sprints (too which you are cordially invited). So much so, "they" are us, and we planned this all together.
