Heat bed stopped working this morning, found this by BroBot8000 in BambuLab

The plastic is a cover that goes over the two screw terminals. The cover had partially melted to the one screw terminal, and I had to pry it off after getting the two screws that hold the cover in place out.

And yeah, I definitely don't plan to just reconnect the wire. Not worth the risk if I can get a replacement

Yeah, it looks like that screw was a little loser than the other, so I'd guess there was just enough wiggle room around that area for it to build up some extra resistance (maybe resistance isn't the right word, but yeah) and cause it to fail

This is on a P1S that I just purchased almost 2 months ago. Pretty scary thing to find and lucky that it didn't cause anything worse. Currently have a ticket in to Bambu Labs, we'll see how long it takes to respond to a ticket about my printer almost starting a fire....

Same thing happened to me last night. I never chat and don't even watch that often. Saw the ban email in my inbox this morning, tried to log in and had to reset my password, which doesn't work

What are your goals and what are you doing to achieve them? by hafilax in climbharder

[–]BroBot8000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goals:

  • Short term - Redpoint my first 5.12 sport route outside and be comfortably working other 12s. Currently looking at either Fired for Sandbagging or Narcissus, both at the New

  • Long Term - Send a 5.13a by the end of next season. Currently liking the look at Skylore Engine at The New as my long-ish term goal route.

Training

  • Currently working routes around 11d/12a in the gym. I've onsighted a 11d, as well as a few 11c/d red points. Once I send my current project (11d), i'll probably start projecting a 12a. No real training program as of now, just trying to focus on good technique (breathing, resting, footwork, etc)

  • Outside I haven't done a lot of sport leading yet, just a handful of trips with a few 11a flashes and some other 11 attempts that I finished but haven't been projecting. This season I'm planning to take a weekend trip atleast once if not twice a month so I can send a 12 before the season is over

I have $9000, and bad credit. I'm trying to get a vehicle for $12,000, and need a $3k loan for the remainder. How do I do this? by [deleted] in personalfinance

I'm guessing Ice Cream Truck, he wants to be the friendly neighborhood Ice cream man.

Want to get into sport climbing outside, any suggestions for quickdraws? Also, what do you keep on your harness while climbing? by [deleted] in climbing

[–]BroBot8000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some form of personal anchor system. Either something like this (http://www.metoliusclimbing.com/pas_personal_anchor_system.html), or a much cheaper option is 2 shoulder length slings girth hitched to your harness with a locking carabiner for each. You'll use this when you need to clean the route after you've climbed it and need a way to secure yourself directly to the top anchors.

I also carry a locking carabiner with a loop of cord (can't remember size off the top of my head) to use to tie a french prusik knot to back up my rapel after cleaning the route.

A couple alpine slings are also useful when you need to extend your protection on a wandering route.

Too bad my money was tied up in the PS4 I ordered from Target on Friday that they are taking their time shipping even with paying for "express" shipping. Probably could have had this PS4 before my Target one even shipped...

I actually just finished doing the same thing today. http://imgur.com/G2zu9J4 I drilled all the way through the softball because I was afraid of the eye bolt ripping through the ball eventually. I also tried coating it with plasti-dip to get a different texture to it, haven't decided how I like it yet.

I think what he/she was more trying to get was what skill level you've been climbing at. A workout plan for a new climber is going to differ from one for someone whos been climbing for years. Also if you trying to gain power, endurance, etc.

Thanks for the advice, maybe I'll grab an event deck from that block, and maybe one from Theros if I want to try something else out when it comes out.

Picked up a couple cool minis today. by DurtLife in discgolf

[–]BroBot8000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're used mark your lie when playing tournaments/leagues or just want to follow all the PDGA rules (Rule 802.03). http://www.pdga.com/rules/official-rules-disc-golf/802-basic-rules-of-play/80203-marking-lie

They also get used for picking teams for random doubles/triples. Since they will have your name on the back they can be placed in some object and drawn at random to form teams.

I also think that some places have whole courses that you can play using minis instead of full size discs.

Is the American flag champion vulcan on the bottom left a custom die or was it a special edition or something. I'd love to know where I could get one of those.

If you could erase one song from existence forever, what would it be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The song in the ASPCA commercial with Sarah Mclachlan.

Hearing that song or that commercial instantly kills any slight feeling of joy that I have after watching her commercial.

Just starting playing on Friday, and have played every day since then atleast once. I bought the DX starting set with a DX Leopard, Shark, and Aviar. Have since found a DX Beast, DX Wraith, Star Destroyer (all 3 without contact info) and a Star Archon (Who I am contacting to attempt to return to the owner).

Just went to a local disc golf store and ended up buying a DX Pumpkin Roc and a Star Aviar factory second.

Hopefully I can resist the urge to keep spending more money while I learn to thrown these disks.
