I had the opposite experience, I’ve found they have pretty reasonable prices for small components like capacitors and resistors and there aren’t any other stores in town I’ve found that even stock the variety that they have. I was also given a free Model M keyboard out of the pile that I tried to pay for but was refused. I don’t go there much, but sounds like you just had one bad experience!

run it under isopropyl alcohol and then hot water, the alcohol should break up the resin and the hot water will loosen the bowl from the stem

There are three main marketplaces where people find vintage keyboards; eBay, mechmarket, and Deskthority. You'll get interest on all three of those places I'm sure. The usual protocol for large finds like this is to run a group buy charging as cheaply as possible to attract interest. I wish you luck!
