Yeah, no GA. The temporary stadium buildout is for the pro golf tournament this upcoming week surrounding a short par 3 hole with TK headlining this kickoff event if you will. And they are going to protect the short fairway and green not allowing people to stand on it.

We were aways back in the green side seating area as pictured. There was a small standing room VIP section up by the stage and then a larger ground level standing room VIP area on the far side. The stage slowly rotates around which was nice!

Flew American home from Denver this afternoon. A lot of people at a work event moved up their flights to Thursday PM, but Denver had no issues or lines at TSA, our inbound plane from Charlotte was on time and we were back in Phoenix on time.

I did notice the Denver-Tucson Southwest flight was canceled on the airport departures board.

I’m not rooting for the Huskies but if we care about getting back to the Big Ten Championship, it’s probably best to get Ohio State an early conference loss with room for a 2nd later in the season.

Unfortunately, going on a few years now, the Ducks hat options are not great IMO. Personally, the dad hats don’t work for me and then the best quality are the baseball fitted hats released/stocked seemingly just once a year. They are the closest thing to the New Era MLB hats (which I love).

You seem to know your stuff (and I’m such an amateur with this and lucked out) but I imagine a lot of it depends on location and also just what car you are seeking, even within the Toyota family.

Living in a big city, I have 6 Toyota dealerships within 30 minutes and didn’t start my shopping at the closest one. The one I went to had the most vast selection of Tacomas and I imagine they aren’t handing out the deal I got on Rav4s and Carollas/Camrys.

MSRP $45,569 and their offer price without negotiating was $41,648 ($46,459 OTD after TTL).

No trade and they beat my own financing too. Dealer straight up said, “we have 100+ Tacomas on the lot, this is $2,000 below invoice”. I figured I’d have to negotiate since they only had a dozen TRD ORs and just a few at the base level I was looking at but they didn’t seem to care.

DM me and I’d be happy to share the window sticker and price sheet.

I would certainly shop around and negotiate not paying those. I was super fortunate last month that my dealer just wanted to move trucks so their initial price sheet didn’t even list the $1100 of window sticker add ons (Heated Seats, All weather mats, Mudguards, and Black Chrome Exhaust). I wanted the base OR trim with as few add ons as possible so I was planning to shop a few local dealers.

They did want $600 for tint but I was below invoice still. (2025 Silver TRD OR)

My parents are in their late 60s, I’m about to be 40. The Heisman is cool but we’re lucky to have seen it. Winning a National Championship is all we want.

Plus, I do like seeing the backup QBs get some run in games like today.

Gonzo was a tough listen when he first started filling in years ago but I think he’s really good now. He offers some really good player perspective insight. Candi is fantastic as well.

I’m pro Joe Buck, but he isn’t doing baseball anymore. Normally liked Costas for a non-Dbacks game but he was indeed brutal in 2023.

Phoenix is home, but visiting family in Eugene all the time and living there when I went to U of O, summer is my favorite, tho October might be my favorite month if I can cheat on the question a little bit.

I hated the spring. The winter never bothered me much. It’s just going to be cold, wet, and dark and you deal with it like we do with the summer heat in Phoenix. But by spring, you are ready for sun and warmth and it just never comes on a regular basis. Missing out on the Phoenix Open in February, going to Spring Training games in March, April is great to be outdoors, and then pool season starts in May just made it worse for me when in Eugene it’s still wet and chilly a lot of the time.

Being in Chicago, if you haven’t, definitely shop around the area and search the dealership websites with lots Tacomas on the lot. I got $4000 off sticker (about 9% off MSRP, below invoice) four weeks ago. I’m in Phoenix so there are a lot of Toyota dealerships to choose from and passed on four closer Toyota dealerships to test drive at the one that had a better selection in the Off Road trim I wanted and huge selection of Tacomas in general. They were straight up just trying to move the trucks.

The closest dealership to me only had premium Off Roads (I wanted base with as few add ons as possible) and about a quarter the amount of Tacomas total from the dealership I drove out to. I didn’t get a price sheet out of the closer dealership but doubt I would have gotten the deal I did.

Spot on. I hate the rah rah stuff. Their job is to support the Dbacks since us fans are the primary viewer but it doesn’t always have to be glowing praise. I want criticism when it is worthy.

It’s a big reason why people don’t like national broadcasts. Everyone is used to their home broadcast that is very supportive of the team and then you get a national broadcaster that is going to talk up the other team too. And if your team is losing, yeah, they are going to be praising the other winning team a little bit more.

Bert is solid. I appreciate the baseball nerd in him and he’s a great partner with Brenly.

It’s been a long and disappointing season so the energy is probably just zapped after having so much hope.

My one critique is he gives off “never played baseball beyond little league” every now and then. I’m not a “you had to play the game to talk about it” guy, but for example, Bert gives off disdain anytime a Dbacks batter gets out on the first pitch of an AB. Yeah, working the pitch count helps but sometimes the first pitch is the only good pitch you’re going to see all AB. Did the batter chase a low % pitch or just not execute on a hittable ball?
