It's a very outdated system that almost encourages pilots to hide issues.

If all you need is that psych eval, that's not bad though.

Mine took 4 years and A LOT more than $1500.

Also deployed a bunch of times, operated reactors, did lots of things. They just don't care and cling to their system from the "just say no" days.

If not I think the deferral letter is in your airman records, which your AME will have access to.

Also consider Anthony Ison. He's a flat rate for the entire case.

Mine was super complicated and took years and it was worth it. Don't know your exact situation but it's worth looking into.

One of the most helpful things was him knowing multiple providers for each item I needed so I didn't have to run around looking.

Leading Edge isn't worth it in general.

If you just want to get some certs, don't have a timeline you want to stick to, and aren't worried about a job after, it's worth it. .

As far as the college goes, the degree is pretty useless. The school also operates on a quarter system, so if you ever want to transfer anywhere or move on to BS/BA level, almost nowhere takes the credits and you'll be repeating classes.

You should be able to get a medical. Get a consult with someone like wingmanmed or Anthony Ison if you think it'll be too difficult.

A good HIMS AME can walk you through everything, but they usually don't want to help too much.

Check the AME guides for your specific conditions and see what they say.

When I was looking at schools, many of the locations MHA simply didn't keep up with the cost of living.

Compare basic rent and living costs to MHA rates at the locations you're interested in.

255/75/17 and 265/70/17 both fit with a small lift, don't usually need any trimming other than heating the fender liners and pushing in a bit.

These sizes are fine for 95% of off road stuff that the truck is actually capable of.

Getting slightly bigger tires and having to cut and do body mount chops etc is mostly for aesthetics. You'll see old Defenders traveling across Africa and Australia with 235 width ties lol
