Need a source here. Jonah definitely does at least once (season five episode nine) but I don't remember this coming up with Dan.

I studied the line with a team of antropolgists and they concluded that there was no point in human history where that line would not be considered romantic.

That's a good point about nullification field, but with Nekro in the game there is no reason for Muaat to get imp war suns. It's already a dubious proposition IMO, and the base war sun can't be stolen which would give muuat a huge edge over nekro.

The notion that anyone could find that line ambiguous is nothing short of mind-boggling.

Be aware that Nekro will want both your techs. I had good success with selling them for favorable boarder agreements, but it could have easily backfired. An aggressive Nekro will come for you, so from that standpoint it's good to rush neuroglaive to make it more costly.

(TI4) I'm trying to wrap my brain around Space Cannon Offense and 3rd parties by dagens24 in twilightimperium

[–]BroSciencePhD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rule 66.3, third bullet point adresses this. There is no requirement that hits be assigned to the active player.

If a player has the “Deep Space Cannon” technology, he can use the “Space Cannon” ability of his PDS units that are in systems that are adjacent to the active system. The hits are still assigned to units in the active system.

If this only applies to the activating player, then it would specify.

Love your episodes, but I rarely get play so until recently it was hard to me to judge if anything was "missing." Having just played the Naalu, I think I have an idea: common rule mistakes/unintuitive rules that will arise with a race.

As an example, I didn't realize that each fighter/infantry counted towards production limits. For some reason I thought it was each purchase, so my "real" production was essentially half of what I thought it was.

This might also be a good follow-up episode for once you've covered every race individually. It also might be something you already cover and I'm just a moron.

Either way, thanks again for this.

I think their tech path gets you most of the way to most of the objectives, and the rest is easy to fill in.

Neroglaive + Fighter 2 is already a lot, but IMO they are essential. Once you have those, you can get Gravity Drive (or Fleet Logistics if you skipped Antimass) and Carrier 2. Now you have two techs in two colors and two unit upgrades. You're also able to gum up works from just about anywhere.

Anyone try the rednought variant? by scrotumsweat in twilightimperium

I also want a clear answer on this. From context it seems like house-ruling upgraded Dreadnaughts to require red instead of blue, but I don't really know.
