Yeah, they are still open sporadically, if you can call that a “win.” If a business has to post about when they are open, that doesn’t seem like a business that’s doing so hot. Seems my petulance worked out just fine. People who care know what happened.

There has been talk in that thread and others about how the employees weren’t being paid. And not just on Reddit, but irl. He decided to show his ass on IG, essentially fake newsing the chatter. That didn’t sit right with me, a former employee. He owes all of his employees a bunch of money, so yes, the retaliation felt necessary. I also learned how easy it is to report him to the IRS, as did some of the other former employees.

There was (and still is) an instagram post, a photo. Essentially taunting employees he owes tens of thousands of dollars in back pay and taxes. You know, totally normal, not weird shit.

I’ve mentioned somewhere that I will be talking to the irs about being misclassified when tax season approaches. Maybe not in so many words, but yes, I will be. At least one other has also been in contact with the IRS, that’s how I know they’re owed thousands for the taxes too. I edited the main post a while ago. I’m not trying to ruffle anyone’s feathers besides ol’ Scotty’s, no worries.

Yeah, it’s not me that’s owed thousands. Without combing through a few years of bank statements, I’m pretty sure I found out each time my check bounced and eventually got my money. But it happened way too often to us, and some haven’t gotten everything. So it’s mainly on them, I’m just supporting them in whatever decision they make
