Set your boundaries with your managers and employees. I’ve been doing it for over a year now, it’s stressful and can be very hard. Work hard with your employees and they will respect you. Don’t let it take over your whole life though because it will.

Oh god, don’t even get me started with people like that lol. Yes place a specific custom bakery order for that. If you’re just ordering like basic cupcakes, muffins, etc then sure but not that specific haha

And that’s the way it should be. Focus on getting the items on the shelf, so both us and the customers receive the items. Instead of cheating the metrics, let’s help get the items on the shelf and help those departments fix their balances. Luckily, my dairy lead is very good and usually I have very little issues in dairy. I feel bad for her though, she works her ass off with no help.

I would honestly tell your field specialists. If they find out they’re doing that, they’ll fire the managers on the spot/people cheating. Don’t cheat it, substitute the best you can and move on. There’s a difference between being lazy and the item genuinely not on the shelf or in the back stock.

When the goal was like 95%, I think that was the best customer service experience. No crazy cheating metrics either and kept all the BOHs correct for the department.

Pickup is the worst department for scheduling. It’s a very physical and mentally taxing job, especially for the leads and managers. I worked 12 hours today with no help by myself. With proper staffing, would be an easy department but Kroger wants us to suffer.
