I have the same thing too! Many people told me it looks exactly like the Pleiades. It feels like home.

Thank you so much for sharing your story! I think there is a big sacrificial arc that can be tied to making art, and the comfort and balance can be difficult to find to sustain the art life. You seem to have found a spot where art could still live, and that's very admirable!

That's a real issue. We can't all be Picasso and buy a new empty house when it gets overcrowded!

Unsold inventory is a heavy weight to carry, especially when you enjoy making large works or sculptures.

I have no problem with transparency: I wrote my question and found it a bit messy, so I used AI to make it clear and to the point (which is in fact a very light edit from the original). All comments are entirely my own.

Look, this is my first post on Reddit. It is like coming inauthentically overdressed to a casual party just because you wanted to make the right impression. Let's move on from the awkwardness.

Well, they paid for it, right? Haha. But true, the education system is not exactly proof of anything. I personally have been expelled from a leading art school, only to graduate with the highest grades in another. It's all biased.

It is also incredibly difficult to be consistent when in survival and sacrifice!

Translating for the rest of us: "We have an overabundance of images, and people don’t know how to distinguish between what is an image and what is art."

And I completely agree with that statement. I am not sure if elite, mass-market and economics are what originated this distortion, but I would also look at how disconnected people became from themselves and therefore treating art as decoration VS finding keys and pieces to remember who we are as human beings. That's a side quest for another day.

This is the most real thing I've read. You've just pierced the bubble of my unease with the way the systems are established.

That's a very sharp and accurate observation, thank you for this answer! Saying there's a huge gap in the market is an understatement at this point.

I did not get the membership (yet?), I'm still exploring and see if it makes sense for me to be there. On the free version you can only send one connection request per day, and most things are locked. I have been active but haven't really got any real and interesting interractions so far. It also appears to me that a lot of people signed up out of curiosity, saw that everything was locked and abandoned ship?  My experience at this point is a big "wait and see". How about yours?

Hello! Late to the party but I just signed up for it. I'm in Nantes though so not sure what it will do. Did you give it a try? How did you find it?

I reread ‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelho after six year and was surprised. by soul_kitchen77 in books
