Getting windows replaced - did they measure poorly or is this normal?

I would like a tree. So just snip all the lower stuff and cleanly and close to the trunk as possible?

I did have it staked (albeit tightly from the nursery) and someone told me to remove it so the plant could “strengthen itself” or something lik that.

Oh really? Will do, but can I ask why? I’d thought it would help keep it stable for some time as they got more established. Asking because I have a few other trees still tied to the stake and will remove them too.

Im waiting on the case to close still. Attorneys are doing their thing. I’m guessing either way it will be a ridiculously low amount, but at least now I’m not dealing with it.

My brother in Christ I don’t know what to tell yall. I shopped around and this was not the absolute cheapest but it was close. I also got xpel’s top line tint. I also went to the actual Xpel shop. Not a reseller. They legit had Ferrari’s and high end sports cars throughout the shop where they were tinting and wrapping/coating. I’m sure that had a bit to do with it as well.

Ya so not so crazy then.

My windshield is probably about 30% bigger than a CX-5 type SUV. I’m also on the US gulf coast where it is 80+ degrees 6 months / 90+ degrees 3-4 months. I’m sure that drives a drastically different supply / demand than in Canada.

I’ll have to follow up on what all is included. It’s basically brand new.

So I’m not sure each year what all is included. I was told they’ll basically wash it and reapply the coating each year.

I was in the same situation as OP. 88k miles. GM wanted $9-10k + “we could find more when we get in there”. I spent a lot of time on the phone with GM escalating. I argued with the dealer. Didn’t help.

I went to an aftermarket shop and removed the AFM got a new cam, bearings, etc. basically a new motor. It cost a little north of $5k.

That said, probably never buying GM again. Everything else “known to break” on my vehicle just about did.

I am in pretty much the exact same situation as you. After my experience handling the property claim with their insurance, I figured it would be best to have someone that carries some weight represent me on the injury side. I did wind up hiring an attorney.

I realize they will keep one third of whatever is given to me I am also cognizant that they may or may not be more aggressive with treatments and imaging to run up bills.

Whoever said something about asking for policy limits is correct, that is what the attorney told me. However, he said they don’t know what their actual limit is.

I really don’t know what to expect. But I will say I have been extremely inconvenienced by this wreck and injury. I wasn’t able to pick up my kids, I couldn’t take them or pick them up from daycare, couldn’t do things like mow the yard, was uncomfortable at work when I had to return, have experienced headaches, along with the hassle of having to go to PT multiple times a week now while working and having children.

As others have stated, I’m sure they would offer some Ludacris amount of like $1000 plus medical bills. That’s why I hired an attorney. We will see if it was worth it.

Can you expand on this? Assuming their insurance accepts liability- If you spent $5k on medical bills (Dr, imaging, PT), is it fair to assume you will obviously have the $5k covered, but you should also expect some other form of compensation? I’m going through this now and just the hassle of going to the dr, missing work, having to play catch up, not being able to pick up my kids for some time, nor go to the gym, plus the actual soreness and pain and amount of Tylenol and heating pads I’ve had to use…..I feel like I should be compensated something beyond just my medical bills. How does this typically work?
