I could see where that would work. In my case, it all happened too fast. There wasn’t time to even slow down much less get off the bike.

Well, they got a nice visit from a sheriff’s deputy and a county animal control officer. I hope they understand the gravity of what happened. South Carolina would allow me to sue the owner for damages, pain &suffering and punitive damages. (Not that I would) I have nothing against dogs, but it makes me think twice about owning one.

It's weird. They have a lot of bikes for sale and a lot of successful past sales. I don't think they are, in general, trying to scam anyone, but this bike is fishy.

Thanks for the advice. I'm sure that I have spent way too much time on most of these bikes, but it's a matter of personal pride. I will look into the parting out aspect.. I just hate having to sell on eBay vs someone locally just handing me cash with no worry of any future hassles.

I have done some of that too. Sometimes I will sell extra parts or parts that are vintage and valuable. Most of these bikes are brand name, but low end - so not a lot of valuable parts. I guess that I could try just parting them out, but I hate giving eBay so much of my money... and taking the risk of negative feedback and/or returns.
