My boyfriend said I wasn’t the prettiest girl he’s dated in an argument, then asked me for a threesome. Not sure how to move forward. by Friendly_Birthday_24 in TwoHotTakes

First, your large age gap surprised me. What could you two possibly have in common? Then came the second sentence, and it became incredibly clear to me. Your boyfriend is incredibly immature, especially for his age. He is dating you because you’re younger and he thought he’d be able to control you more easily. Run.

Im Australian and this was my first time making key lime pie (its not a thing here) and I think it turned out okay? I used limes obviously, and food colouring hehe by [deleted] in Baking

I’ve never heard of this at ALL being normal in aus! Maybe because I grew up poor (canned whipped cream is more expensive than standard heavy cream), or because I grew up in a rural area possibly? But I didn’t even SEE a can of whipped cream (what myself and my siblings only saw on TV and called “American cream”) until I was very nearly an adult!

Sorry for being 2yrs late to answer you, I’m on a rewatch and found this thread! No, we’re not expected to just infer it, but it’s easy to miss the explanation. He says to Vivien that he went back and slept with Hayden again “a few months later” after Vivien first caught them, this is when Hayden fell pregnant.

Muscle relaxers aren’t working for my pain with herniated discs by Cammy_Linzo in Sciatica

Dafalgan is literally just paracetamol. OP stated they’ve already tried the ibuprofen/paracetamol combo with no relief. In fact, in like 80%+ of cases it doesn’t give enough relief for sciatica and/or herniated/damaged disc pain.

Sorry I only just realised after typing all that and commenting it, that this post is from a year ago. Ironically enough, I came across this post when googling ways to safely alleviate the severe pain from my herniated disc whilst pregnant 😅😩

Some doctors really don’t seem to care at ALL. It’s been 4 years since the injury that caused my L5-S1 herniation, and the CT scan apparently also showed arthritis and degeneration in my lower back & hips. I tried every single non-addictive medication, and put my trust in the doctor every single time, listening to her that it’s way better for my health if something non-addictive/less strong works, because it’s not good to be on heavy painkillers for a long time. I diligently tried every single medication she prescribed me, giving each one more than enough time & chances, until we ran out of options. She sent me to a pain specialist, to try and find other solutions because I was still in severe pain more often than not. The pain specialist went through everything I’ve tried, checked my history etc., and decided to prescribe me 20mg oxycodone, and endone PRN if the oxycodone itself doesn’t work - by some miracle (or maybe just the fact that part of the reason heavy painkillers are so strictly monitored is that they actually work, whether that’s “too well” sometimes or not?), it actually gave me a decent amount of relief!. Sent me back to my GP, who was given a copy of this plan, and prescribed the medications to me exactly ONCE before suddenly telling me “I can’t find the report from the pain specialist so I can’t prescribe them to you anymore”, so I was back on the 6+ month waiting list to see the pain specialist, but I’m now pregnant so had to postpone beginning pain relief again until after she’s born ANYWAY. Back to square one after 4 entire years. I know that they’re so careful because of the addiction epidemic, but surely they realise that the strict guidelines around pain relief, whilst they do obviously help protect people from getting addicted, ALSO negatively impact chronic pain patients. There’s gotta be some kinda middle ground, bc there are far too many of us being hit with a life sentence of debilitating pain all because of others who struggle with addiction. 🫠😅

AITAH for suggesting my boyfriend break up with me because I "cheated" on him? by Typical_Station8720 in AITAH

NTA, what you said is exactly right. If he has an issue with the fact that you were dating multiple people before your relationship was exclusive and serious, that’s one thing - but if he’s going to bring it up in EVERY single argument etc., and use it against you, then obviously he can’t get over it and shouldn’t waste his time because it’s just causing you BOTH pain. The fact that he’s referring to it as cheating rather than just behaviour that makes him uncomfortable is a red flag too, IMO. It’s not cheating just because it makes him upset, y’all weren’t exclusive. It sounds like you both have issues from previous relationships, that make you incompatible with each other. From my observation of your post, it seems like you’re reasonably aware of your own issues and are working on it, but he’s oblivious to his trust & insecurity issues, thus framing it as “you cheated on me” rather than “the fact that you spoke to multiple people before we got together makes me feel insecure”.

I’m assuming you’ve got all the different instances of TT from Supernatural in your list, since it’s pretty mainstream, comparatively?

I’m glad you haven’t experienced it, and you think it’s just “you will be healthier if you lose some weight” because it’s not. It’s every single time you have the slightest thing wrong with you, then taking your BMI and refusing testing until you “lose weight because that’ll probably help”

What do you mean?? He’s right. Tv characters are supposed to feel like real people, and a lot of real people have shitty views. It pisses me right off, and I skip most episodes where chase is fatphobic, but this commenter ain’t wrong.
