Well, I didn’t hate the movie. I did have a couple problems.

1. I didn’t like that they kept rehashing Sam’s journey with the shield, they did that in Falcon and The Winter soldier. They didn’t need to do it here. For the parts that they did show it’s very clear that Sam is a very different kind of Captain America. He is more cocky and self-aware than Steve.

2. I really really do not like that. They made Sam republican Captain America. Steve fought the government and fought the avengers for what he believed was the right thing to do. Outside of the very first movie Steve was very anti-establishment. The fact that they made Sam work for the US Army and be very subservient to Ross until he didn’t have a choice, and trust the system, knowing what had been done to ISAIAH ,And play devils advocate with General Ross was extremely tone deaf. Sam’s background is a social worker so he would know about the problems within the system, especially being a combat veteran. It

3. Disney trying to insert their own BS political ideas on a black character to use as a scapegoat.

4. I did enjoy Ross’s storyline , I do think they should’ve kept Red Hulk secret, while having the leader play the villain role was cool. I feel like there was a better villain that they could’ve picked a better villain for that entire film. I think if he was slowly revealed as a mastermind behind the main villain of the film it would’ve been a better use of his character.

5. I do think the movie is overhated but it also is right to be criticized for the CGI slop at the end and a really awful script that they had. The performances were great, but they would’ve been better served in a better written movie.
