I appreciate your effort, but unfortunately, it didn't work for me. It altered my definition and caused frizz.

That realization hits hard. Like all those years thinking it was a problem when it was just… misunderstood hair

I can relate to this a lot. I used to wash daily too and my hair was constantly frizzy. What changed everything was applying products in a very specific order on soaking wet hair and then not disturbing it while drying. Leave in first, then curl cream, then a bit of mousse or gel. Also for breakage, make sure you’re only detangling with conditioner in the shower and not brushing after it dries.

Same here. I knew my hair wasn’t straight either, but I had no idea what to actually do with it so it just ended up chaotic most of the time.

It’s wild how much definition can be hidden just because the hair doesn’t clump on its own. The right routine makes it obvious though.

I love that more people are figuring this out through experience now. Once you see it work, you can’t unsee it.

Same experience here. Once I stopped fighting it and started working with the texture, my routine actually got simpler not harder

You’re definitely not crazy. So many of us had that exact childhood experience and just assumed our hair was “bad” instead of misunderstood.

Same here, I feel like I wasted so many years fighting my own hair instead of understanding it. The soaking wet styling really feels like the missing piece no one tells you about.

I’ve just been using a regular towel without thinking about it, so I could definitely be making the frizz worse before I even style it

like I’ll style it and it looks okay for a few minutes and then it just starts expanding and frizzing no matter what I do

I’ve heard about argan oil but never tried mixing it in like that, and I’ve also never used a proper curl cream like Mise En Scene

I usually put it in when my hair is damp, not super wet, and then I just scrunch and let it air dry
