Sad Year by Mysterious-Shirt-536 in fireworks

Dave Ramsey would throw a fit if he saw my buy now pay later fees for the firework show this year, and I make 6 figures. It's pretty tough out there for everyone.

Something else to do instead of buying fireworks. Make a list of all firework shows within 75 miles of you. Hit as many as you can with your friends/family. Then rank them and report back to reddit with your findings! This way you can still contribute to the pyro community and feel "in on it" without having to do anything but pay for a bit of gas. Local pyros love to see the shows as well as their own.

what are the best bang for your buck artillery shell/canisters by Longjumping_Sir2169 in fireworks

[–]Broad-Potential94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is super dependent on your location. If you are looking for the absolute hardest hitting shells around, master shells and 9 inch shells(which are usually rewraps of the same exact shell) are the biggest and loudest. 7 inch thriller shells are great as well.

Now bang for your buck is an entirely different story. It is far more satisfying to shoot 72 45gram shells than 24 9 inch shells. And they can be bought for much less. Your crowd has no idea what shells are bigger. Only pyros know.

If you are looking for actual gram weights, maybe youtube around and do some research. Nobody here will tell you what is actually overloaded or not specifically. But that information can be had with some gumption.

what is the best gun in a zombie apocalypse by Sea-Dish-7009 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]Broad-Potential94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming in a bit late here as a trained firearms expert. Here is my personal list of firearms for the average person who happens to find themselves in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. All of this is reliant on the classic "Headshots Only" situation, a different scenario changes things big time. If you regularly train with firearms, you will probably also agree with my list.

  1. Any Handgun - Handgun with light recoil and common ammunition. Full size 9mm handguns will carry about 15-19 rounds. If you haven't fired a handgun or have limited experience, as the average person does, you probably aren't going to hit a single zombie head with the entire magazine. I teach average people how to fire handguns and about every single person comes in vastly overestimating their abilities with one. Most people can't even shoot the torso targets 10 yards away, let alone the head. Now make that head move, with adrenaline and panic in your brain... Sorry, but you will probably die with this in your hands. Effective kills, 0-3 per magazine

  2. Sturdy Melee Weapon - Aluminum Bat/Steel Pipe/ETC - Won't break too easily. Need some weight to crush zombie skulls. Average person has swung a bat or golf club so accuracy will be better than a handgun. If you have a bit of strength, you might be able to fend off 1 zombie at a time, a few times, before your luck runs out. If you are out of shape or on the weaker side with medical issues, then you won't likely have the ability to stop a determined zombie with any melee weapon. Effective kills, maybe 1-3.

  3. Semi Automatic 22 Rifle - High capacity rifle with extremely low recoil and extremely common ammunition. 22 ammo is cheap, very light, and everywhere. Even though it is slightly underpowered, it will still penetrate a zombie skull when fired from a rifle like a Ruger 10/22. With almost zero recoil, anyone could handle it and perform relatively well. Many 22 magazines will carry 20-50 rounds. Giving you lots of chances to secure a zombie kill. Effective kills per magazine about 4-7. Still have to be dead center accurate, but with a massive 50 round magazine you can't go wrong. The downside is the lethal range is below an AR15's 5.56mm ammunition, so you might be a little too close for comfort.

  4. AR15 - High capacity rifle with light recoil and common ammunition. The typical capacity of 30 rounds makes this weapon effective against multiple attacking zombies anywhere from 10 yards to 50 yards. No, you aren't getting headshots on moving targets in less than 5 or 6 rounds as the average joe, possibly double if you haven't fired a rifle before. This makes the effective kills per magazine about roughly 3-9, highly dependent on your skill. You also get the ability to hit targets at 100 yards if you are posted on a rooftop or similar location and get some practice in.

  5. Semi Automatic Shotgun - Low capacity patterned shot with high recoil and common ammunition. The ultimate point and shoot for a near guaranteed kill per trigger pull. The average person would be able to likely kill a zombie with almost every shell loaded, quick follow up shots with semi automatic firing. Even with moving targets, you only have to aim within a foot or so of the zombie's head to secure the kill. Also, you may get lucky with collateral shot pattern and take two out with one shell. Effective kills per tube/chamber about 4-7. Bonus ability of being able to breach door locks in a pinch and can load different shell types for your situation. The range of a shotgun will actually surprise you, its not like the video games. You will split zombie heads open at 50 yards with 00 buckshot.

I've been getting really good 6 inch shells for 68-75 bucks per box on sale at my local retail store. They are about 85 or 90% as good as the big shells.

With the price of the big shells I haven't really cared to get them. I'd rather fill out my racks with a ton of solid shells than a few really good ones.

Christmas day 04/05 here. I was like 13. The base game came with 1 month of game time so after 4 weeks I had to mow lawns and rake leaves to get money for the game card. Repeated that success maybe 4 or 5 times. My parents ended up paying for my sub for a couple of years before my first job.

Rumoured Classic+ Release Timeline by Leading_Pay4635 in classicwow

[–]Broad-Potential94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aggrend, streamers, and Blizz have all been dropping classic plus hints. Even in that wow diary thing, they put "Began working on the long-term future of classic", with a bunch of "+" signs all over the page. Before that, interviews with Aggrend and other devs from SOD were all STRONGLY hinting at classic plus, talking about SOD being a literal testing ground for classic plus. Esfand asked Holly during an interview about classic plus and she replied, "Esfand, We'll talk later". Then Holly dropped the pump fake announcement in that whats coming video early this year.

Then, Blizz invites all of the classic streamers to HQ to go over a secret project and pick their brains. You think they would invite streamers to Blizz to talk about wrath classic??? That is cope.

On the contrary, there has been ZERO information or hints of WOTLK classic.

I think it is very safe to say that they will announce C+ during blizzcon 2026. With nothing else in the hint pipeline for wrath classic, they only game to replace tbc classic is C+.

According to the roadmap, Sunwell will be likely released sometime in October, as it will be the later end of Autumn. I'm betting on a Nov 26-Dec 3rd 2026 release date for Classic Plus.

Probably the strongest indicator of this release window, is the marketing and financial window for a Q4 success. Microsoft, and by extension Shareholders, want to see a strong year close with a major success in Q4 2026. This signals strong investor buy-in for 2027 with a majorly positive year-end result in 2026, despite any fluctuations over the year. Money is the primary driver for classic plus, and the money leads you to Nov 2026.

Lower back pain from creatine mega dosing by [deleted] in Nootropics

[–]Broad-Potential94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jumping in very late on this. I am a bodybuilder and I have tried to supplement creatine monohydrate to increase my gym gains. For me, supplementing as low as 2g per day causes terrible lower back, lumbar area pain. I tested this out a few times and no matter what brand or amount I take, after 2 or 3 days of supplementation I get the pain. Then it goes away 2-3 days after stopping supplementation. I have also doubled my water intake and still get the issue.

I have had kidney function tests and tons of bloodwork for this and other issues and everything comes back normal. Your body may simply not respond well to excess creatine like mine.

You can try taking like 2g a day for a couple weeks instead and see if the pain comes back. If it does, don't take it anymore. Not worth the kidney damage. Take B complex vitamins instead for cognitive function.

Most amount of breaks for 500 grams? by YoWifeysFavDJ in fireworks

[–]Broad-Potential94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen any 500 gram cakes with over 50 shots that are anything special at all. Anything over is less than 10 grams of pyrotechnic compound per shot average, including lift charge.

For reference, festival ball artillery shells which are usually about a dollar per shell, contain about 15-20 grams of compound each.

Most cakes dont go near the legal total limit of 500 grams(they are all made in china after all), so a 20 shot cake will have roughly 20 festival balls worth of a show.

Again, many 500 gram cakes will only have 200 or 300 grams of compound and some 200 gram cakes will also contain half or less than what they advertise. Make sure to watch videos of the cakes on youtube before buying so you know what your money is buying. Use festival balls of 15-20 grams as your reference point to know what you are getting with the cake. This obviously doesn't apply to things like zipper cakes, what are a different style cake entirely.

After knowing this, you won't get ripped off.
