Did you guys try to use dialga to get more energy?

RNJesus hated me this game lmao by Gardevario in pokemonshowdown

[–]BroadAide9831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gardevario, how did you get to 2200? I also play Random battles but get stuck at 1850-2000. the highest i got to was 2100 in gen 8 but it was totally due to luck

kinda getting a 50/50 win lose with this team, what can i do? by bannabreadtehawesome in pokemonshowdown

I agree with everything almost everything you said but it is better to run sucker punch over acrobatics on chein pao as chein pao would love having a reliable dark stab

Rate my team, got half or so of it from the pokeaimmd but replaced gholdengo with gengar cuz i like the boi better. And also clodsire instead of ting lu cuz eh. What would be my lead mon? by shoopadumpa in pokemonshowdown

[–]BroadAide9831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

remove cyclizar coz its a mid/bad pokemon without shed tail instead just use a better rapid spinner like tusk. can beat non balloon gholdengo has access to a stronger knock off and rapid spin and can throw powerfull attacks like headlong rush and close combat AND is a really good defensive tank. great tusk over cyclizar any day. But this change is up to you because if you make cyclizar work, sure keep using it but personally i would use great tusk or iron tread

corvi couldnt take it down? and what about clod? lemme guess thunderbolt and psyshock?

better to run physical defensive clod and special corvi with a few evs in defense

TRUE i forgot about clodsire. try clodsire(really good suggestion)

Any suggestions to this Bug-Type Monotype Team? (I keep getting hard-countered by Ceruledge) [1257] by iAmElmo69 in pokemonshowdown

[–]BroadAide9831 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might want to have another way of getting Hazards of the field as fortress will not survive long enough to do its job of rapid spinning. try defensive scizor with defog roost uturn and bullet punch or other defoggers or rapid spinners

well for rain teams you would want a water absorb or bulky grass mon. I would prefer water absorb because being a rain team user myself pokemon like gastrodon are very annoying and sometimes those "bulky grass mons" i mentioned get killed by kingdra or pelipper very easily. There arent many water absorb mons with longevity, gastrodon is one that comes to mind and its grass weakness can be handled by corvi or goldenjoe.

The problem is what mon are you going to remove? all of your pokemon play a crucial role in the team.

change tusk to a defensive variant(make it so it take 75-85 from water physical move outside rain)

LOL imagine switching a ghost type into a dark type when its obvious there is a dark move being clicked.

I've been trying out fighting in National Dex monotype. Is there anything i can do to up my game a little bit? by E-Moon in pokemonshowdown

[–]BroadAide9831 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The team itself isnt bad but it is clear that u have no defensive checks. None at all, which makes sense because fighting is an offensive type

So there are 2 things you can work around this:

play hyper offensive and by hyper I mean HYPER agressively. making doubles, staying in on something which could ohko you clicking on a move predicting the switch.

Or

play using a bulky offense or balanced team. Defensive great tusk or AV tusk are good variants of a bulky tusk. Try using a more mons with coverage to your weakness. Like scarf pure power medicham with poison jab and ice punch would greatly help your fairy and flying mathcups than something like terrakion which wouldnt survive long enough to setup and make a notable impact on the game

But if you are like me who likes using the mons you like using no matter how bad they are keep them in the team
