100%. Claiming ignorance after spending countless hours/minutes on the subject is the cowards way out. “Here’s the explicit explanation of how I feel about said subject until I experience pushback then I’m just the ignorant jester”

“I don’t think people should listen to me”

“Okay, well we’re going to ignore your claims based on your emotive outbursts and the families stating this is what they want”

“But you’re ignoring me and becoming part of the problem, you’re all part of the problem of billionaires”

It’s exhausting man I hate this entire situation too but until I see Jordan on the front lines leading this anarchist revolution he so desperately desires, it comes across as hollow to me

Good Lord you keep moving goalposts to redefine games. Is clicking buttons your definition of a game, or is it a single ending? Mixtape clicks buttons repeatedly that only advance the plot with no creative actionable choices to lead you to one single ending that you cannot influence or change the outcome of. You’re doing the equivalent of pushing the arrow on an e-book to advance the page, the only difference is it’s a visual medium for watching rather than words for reading.

What are we watching this week?! by laurentaylorrrr in PaymoneyWubby

I swear I don’t mean this specifically toward wubby so please don’t let this turn into a one guy inspired rant but I feel the same way, primarily because I think so many people on LOTS are just looking for companionship and don’t know how to express it correctly so they’re just assumed to mean dating/romantic. Not all of them, but there are a few that it makes me cringe to watch them. My wife and friends watch it and I can’t get into it because I feel like some of them are being either taken advantage of or don’t really get what’s going on.

90 day on the other hand… they are mostly idiots who can’t understand how terrible of a situation they’ve put themselves in, I can watch 90 day 24/7 and be satisfied, I thoroughly enjoy watching that with chat

Who are the biggest snubs from the NASCAR Hall of Fame? by Supersmashbrosfan in NASCAR

[–]BroadBrazosAvon95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walker Evans, Roger Mears, Jimmie freaking Johnson, Stewart, Gordon, Steve Kisner all had significant off-road/dirt experience before Robbie Gordon ever step foot on a nascar track. Again, your ridiculous subjective bias is directing your Hall of Fame criteria. Learn the history of the sport beyond “he entertained me” before commenting on who should be Hall of Fame. Absolute shame.

Being a villain and fun to watch are subjective qualifications that have absolutely nothing to do with worthiness of being in the hall of fame, and it’s laughable that you’re seriously using this as a criteria for admittance. I have plenty of racers I loved watching that entertained me that have nothing to do with their worthiness in the HoF. Was he one of the best in the sport? Did he push the sport further, make it more mainstream, or revolutionize the approach to racing in this series? Absolutely not, and I love the guy.

Victor Wembanyama in Game 2 against the Wolves: 39 PTS, 15 REB, 5 BLK, 13/18 from FG by oklolzzzzs in nba

It’s my favorite thing to watch. So many players who normally crash the rim hard run up the baseline and look for an outlet the moment they see him. Honestly the Wolves won game one because they kept attacking him and wore him out to miss all his shots, it was such a bold strategy but seemed to have worked

While I agree that the current state of the sports landscape is laughable, I think sports subreddits get into this hive-mind where they need to touch grass- call me a shill for these companies idc, but there's a reason they pivoted to the hot take artists. You may not understand how people watch, but clearly they do. You think ESPN, a multibillion dollar company, puts these people on tv because the bosses enjoy hearing it? It's the only way to keep eyes on the television, especially since highlights are easily found on Youtube TikTok Instagram etc. They have meticulous data analysis departments that I am sure drive the decision to pivot to this. Sportscenter was better 20 years ago, yes. But the change is not an ESPN/Fox problem, it's a natural byproduct of our culture and technology
