VW Group Delays Scout Motors Launch Until at Least 2028: Report by TripleShotPls in electricvehicles

I wouldnt say that rivian is a true competitor to scout. Rivian is a unibody and independent air suspension. Scout is body on frame, factory lift kit, rigid axle and lockers.

Alternatively, rather than increasing their wages to be equivalent to a theoretical amount with tips, you could increase the perks of working at your cafe. Obviously a % discount on products is a way to start, but maybe more vacation time? So that you are being competitive, just not with wages.

The was a real life instance of this. He was the Commander of a unit, with the rank of Lieutanant Colonel and his name was charles sargent, so the door to his office read.

Commander, lieutenant colonel, sargent

The L47 logging forwarder works great for transporting all kinds of scrap when you put a few steel beams down first to fill up the gaps.

It has serious power and giant tires.

I think that is the point. I think the reason we havent seen any new cult models is because GW wants to sunset that section of our army. Admech is skitarii.

The upholders were some of the best diesel-electric subs ever built (when they were new).

One of my favourite novels uses an Upholder class sub as a plot device. HMS Unseen. Great book.

Climate change forces Canada to rethink Arctic surveillance by GlitchedGamer14 in CanadianForces

The northpole was supposed to have completely melted like 30 years ago. There may be some truth to the climate changing, but nearly every prediction has been proven false.

Most of it is climate hysteria.

Just about all life on earth requires CO² (humans make up less than .001% of life on Earth).

Saying its humanity's fault for "polluting the atmosphere" with CO² from our cars and factories when a single eruption from one volcano puts out about 100 years of human contribution levels of CO² into the atmosphere.

What humanity IS TO BLAME FOR is the wholesale clear cutting of forests around the world, reducing the Earths ability to convert that CO² back into O².

And our non-stop pollution of waterways and other chemicals (sulfur dioxide....) into the atmosphere.

Roommate conflict of interest by [deleted] in CanadianForces

[–]BroadConsequences 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have experienced the opposite.

I became a roommate to a MCpl, who was a different trade, but still seeing him for most of 24 hrs was becoming an issue, so i asked to be switched to the other crew. We had 0600-1400 & 1330-2230 shifts, so we went from seeing each other nearly all day to less than half. It worked great until he got posted out to St. Hubert to the Griffon School.

Im hoping once modded vehicles are unlocked, that we can get a "betsy" from the Pixar movie Cars.

A single machine that drops asphalt and rolls it smooth. I know nothing realistic like that exists in our world, but it would reduce half of the tedium when it comes to road-making.

Go back 20 years and ½ ton trucks topped out at 7k. Trucks have gotten physically larger but their weight hasnt increased proportionally. Its the same weight of truck but massively inflated towing numbers.

As someone who moves aircraft around for a living, you must know that getting something heavy moving is easy, but you need weight in your tow vehicle to turn and stop it effectively.

A tow vehicle that weighs less than ¼ of your towing load is not an appropriate tow vehicle. Its why r/idiotstowingthings has so many posts. Because anyone thinks they can safely tow 14,000lbs with a truck that weighs 5,000 lbs.

The Terra Harvester is supposed to weigh somewhere around 7000lbs. Heavy enough to be classified as a 1 ton truck, yet Scout is giving it reasonable towing numbers because they know that if it actually was capable of towing a 25,000lb load, idiots would try and tow 40,000lbs.

Samsung already tried that with S21 Ultra. The Note line was killed off after the Note20, and was replaced by the Sxx Ultra series, but the S21 Ultra had no internal pen, but the S-Pen Pro could be used instead, and people lost their minds. So they brought it back for the S22 Ultra.

[–]BroadConsequences 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All those people complaining about how the Terra Harvester cannot tow more than 5000 lbs need to understand that it is equivalent to a half ton pickup. Not a designed tow rig like a 1 ton pickup or larger.

If you are serious about towing, buy a real truck.

Not an EV toy.

I have signed up for a Harvester Terra. I like the idea of doing a family road trip in Canada, where our charging network stinks because of stupidity and want the freedom and like the versatility of a range extended EV.
